About this game

The developer's description, from the game's Steam store page.

Wield your sword and relive the golden age of beat 'em ups!

Blades & Battles combines the spirit of classics like Golden Axe with the intensity of stylized 3D combat in 2.5D. Explore a fantasy world inspired by the legends of King Arthur and fight in epic battles that will shape the fate of the Round Table.

Play as Arthur or Lancelot, each with unique abilities, distinct fighting styles, and devastating special attacks.

Face hordes of enemies in local co-op battles and relive the glory of arcades with a modern, cinematic, action-packed presentation.

Key features:

Two legendary heroes: play as Arthur or Lancelot, each with their own weapons and moves.
Local co-op: fight alongside a friend in cooperative campaign mode.
Stylized 2.5D visuals: 3D art with a pixelated filter that blends the new and the nostalgic.
Classic beat 'em up reimagined: straightforward action, combos, spells, and colossal bosses.
Mythical story: discover the adventures that precede the formation of the Round Table.

With beautiful 3D environments featuring a retro pixel filter, Blades & Battles is a love letter to the classics of the 90s, reinvented for a new generation of knights and indie game fans.
