PixARK 1.241 Patch Notes: The new creature Gigantoraptor is now available!
Meet the Gigantoraptor—Now in PixARK!

With a massive beak, powerful hind legs, and feathers covering almost its entire body, the Gigantoraptor is hard to miss. Its striking plumage is especially prominent on its forelimbs and tail—and it has plenty of speed and strength to match its impressive looks.
The Gigantoraptor is generally mild-mannered, but always on alert. It won’t hesitate to attack players or other creatures that get too close.
As an omnivore, it isn’t a picky eater. Berries, crops, meat, and even fertilized eggs are all on the menu!

Spawn Locations
- PixArk: Golden Realm
- Skyward: Mystic Valley
- Terracrypt: Bramble Thicket Cavern
Taming Method
Gigantoraptor is tamed via knockout taming. During taming, feed it fertilized eggs from the following creatures:
- Brontosaurus
- Quetzalcoatlus
- Quetzalcoatlus (Frozen Land)
- Other 9‑star creatures
Saddle Crafting
- The Gigantoraptor Saddle is unlocked at Level 60 and can be crafted by hand.
Combat Abilities
Left Mouse Button: Peck
Deliver a basic attack with the Gigantoraptor’s massive beak.

Right Mouse Button: Claw Strike
Strike enemies with the Gigantoraptor’s forelimbs. The feathers on its arms disrupt enemies and have a chance to blind them.
C‑Key: Defensive Stance
The Gigantoraptor crouches into a defensive stance, rapidly consuming Food to restore its Health.
- While in this stance, it cannot move or be pushed, but it can still turn.
- You can still use its left- and right-click attacks.
- Taking hits builds Rage. Higher Rage increases its attack power and reduces the damage it takes.
- This ability can only be activated when its Health falls below a certain threshold. Defensive Stance ends automatically once its Health recovers to a set percentage.
Special Abilities
Glide Descent
After jumping, hold Space to slow the Gigantoraptor’s descent.
Treasure Collecting
Male Gigantoraptors have a chance to obtain a Gigantoraptor’s Collection item whenever they kill a creature.
Assisted Egg Incubation
Place fertilized eggs in the Gigantoraptor’s inventory and let it help with incubation.
- Hold E and select “Incubate Fertilized Eggs”.
- Fertilized eggs placed in its inventory will gradually incubate.
- Incubation speed depends on the Gigantoraptor’s level, up to a maximum of 0.5× the normal rate.
- Incubating eggs consumes a large amount of the Gigantoraptor’s Food.
- Eggs will not hatch inside its inventory. Take them out and drop them on the ground in a suitable environment to finish hatching
Baby Care
The Gigantoraptor can care for nearby baby creatures, keeping them from starving.
- Hold E and select “Care for Babies”.
- Lead the babies close to the Gigantoraptor.
- When a baby gets hungry, the Gigantoraptor automatically consumes its own Food to replenish the baby’s Food.
- When a baby is ready for an imprinting task, the Gigantoraptor consumes Gigantoraptor’s Collection items from its inventory while feeding the baby to help complete the task.
- The number of babies it can care for at once depends on its level. Higher-level Gigantoraptors can feed more babies simultaneously.
- Male Gigantoraptors consume more Food than females when caring for babies.
Important: You must stay near the Gigantoraptor for egg incubation and baby care to work!

Ready to bring one home? Head to PixARK Mainland, Skyward, or Terracrypt and tame a Gigantoraptor of your own!
