This is part 1 of my Hex Reverse development diary.
This entry focuses on the background before implementation began.
I had experience with web development, Figma, Adobe tools, and audio production, while my Unity experience was still limited to official tutorials and basic practice. I therefore decided to keep game design, decisions, and visual adjustments in my own hands, use ChatGPT to organize specifications, and delegate coding to Codex.
I chose Unity partly because of its large amount of learning material and documentation, and because I wanted to remain able to make detailed adjustments myself inside the Editor.
The basic approach was not to have AI create the entire game by itself, but to divide responsibilities between AI tools and my own work.
