Now playable without VR - Desktop mode added

Thank you for playing SEVEN SCHOOL GHOST STORIES.

With today's update, you can play the game on your PC screen, even without a VR headset.

Desktop mode

  • Play with mouse and keyboard, or with an Xbox controller.
  • PlayStation controllers work through Steam Input.
  • When you press Play, choose "Play in VR" or "Play on desktop (no VR)".
  • Your save is shared between VR and desktop, so you can switch any time and continue where you left off.
  • Check the controls under "Controls" in the menu. Invert Y (separately for mouse and controller), V-Sync and a frame rate limit can also be changed there.

VR improvements

  • Fixed held items making a loud thunk and vibrating after snap turning or crouching.
  • Fixed the view height sometimes shifting during play.
  • Reduced hitches when going up and down the stairs.
  • Made the restrooms with mirrors run more smoothly.
  • Fixed some anomalies that sometimes did not trigger correctly.
