Sweeper's Luck 1.2.0: Daily Runs, Challenges & the Credit Store

New ways to play

Daily Run

  • One run a day, the same for every player in the world, with a Steam leaderboard (Top 10, Around Me and Friends).
  • You get one attempt, on the Ticket Stake with no Charms and every Payline at level 1. The only difference between players is how you play.
  • Rerolling the shop won't change which boards you get.
  • Your score uploads as you clear each Ticket. Played offline? It uploads the next time you launch with Steam.
  • A new Daily starts at midnight UTC.

Weekly Challenge

  • One run per week, with a rule of the week: Gold Rush, Glass Cannon, Blindfold, Boss Rush, Full House, Wide Open or Bargain Bin.
  • One attempt, with its own leaderboard.
  • Clear Ticket 8 to win 300 Credits.
  • A new week starts every Monday at midnight UTC.

Challenges. Pay Credits to enter a harder run, and reach the goal to win a prize you can't buy anywhere else:

  • Penny Pincher (300 Credits): everything in the shop costs double and you start with no Peeks. Clear Ticket 10 to win the Diamond White display color.
  • Minefield (800 Credits): boards are packed with as many Busts as they can hold and still be solved, and Targets are 25% higher. Clear Ticket 12 to win the Slot Machine voice for Jack.
  • High Roller (2000 Credits): Targets are 50% higher, you get one fewer Sweep, and Bosses start at Ticket 2. Clear Ticket 15 to win the Crown.

Starting Boards. Pick one in the launcher before a run. Each trades something that helps for something that costs:

  • Classic: the game as it comes.
  • Scout: 3 extra Peeks, one fewer Sweep. Unlock by playing 3 runs.
  • Gilded: 3 extra Gold tiles on every board, pricier shops. Unlock by clearing Ticket 5.
  • Pocket: a 4th Token slot and 2 free Tokens, pricier shops. Unlock by playing 10 runs.
  • Glass: 4 extra Glass tiles on every board, higher Targets. Unlock by clearing Ticket 8.
  • Collector's: an extra Lucky Sticker slot, higher Targets. Unlock by discovering 30 Stickers.
  • Safe: the corners are never Busts and the opening reveals more, but Bosses start at Ticket 2. Unlock by winning any Challenge.
  • Gambler's: start with $15 and +2 Mult on every Slip, one fewer Sweep. Unlock by reaching the Gold Stake.

If you've already hit a goal, that board is unlocked the moment you update.

The Credit Store

Maxed out your Paylines? Your Credits finally have somewhere to go. Everything here is cosmetic, so nothing changes how the game plays.

  • Hats for Jack: Gibus, Santa Hat, Wizard Hat and Propeller Hat.
  • Jack skins: Negative, Handheld, Ghost, Rainbow, and Golden Jack (5,000 Credits), who shines, sparkles and will not stop reminding you what he cost.
  • Jack voices: Deep, Squeaky and Robot.
  • Display colors for the score readouts: Amber, Terminal Green, Ice Blue, Violet, Hot Pink, Gold and Rainbow.
  • Desktop themes: Olive Green, Silver and Royale Noir, which recolor the title bars and taskbar.
  • Window styles: Luna, Olive Grove, Sunset, Midnight and Terminal. These recolor the panels and text inside every window.
  • Wallpapers: Classic Teal, Bliss at Sunset and Bliss at Night.

High Contrast mode still switches windows back to classic grey with black text, whatever style you have on.

Collection

  • A new window showing every Sticker, Token, Board Upgrade, Charm, Boss and Starting Board in the game.
  • Buy something in the shop, face a Boss or unlock a Charm to fill in its card. Anything you haven't found yet stays a question mark.
  • Stickers you've already bought count. Tokens, Board Upgrades and Bosses start counting from this update.

Jack

  • About 200 new lines.
  • Jack now has something to say about everything you buy him, every Challenge you enter or fail, your Daily and Weekly scores, and every board you unlock.

Balance

  • Credits have been reworked. They used to be paid out from your score, which grows so fast late in a run that one long run could pay thousands. Credits now come from how many Tickets you clear, with a bonus for going deep, a little extra for how close you came on your last Ticket, and 30% more for each Stake above Ticket. Credits you've already earned are yours to keep.
  • Flag Bearer and Piggy Bank now pay out when the Ticket is cleared, not the moment a flag lands on a Bust. The instant payout meant you could right-click every tile to find the mines. Wrong flags now cancel out right ones, so flagging everything doesn't pay.

Fixes

  • Flag Bearer's "$3" was actually paying 3 points instead of cash. It now pays cash.
  • Screen shake was quietly changing later boards depending on your frame rate, so the same seed could play differently on different PCs. Fixed.
  • Opening a window again while it was still animating closed or minimizing left it closed. It now opens.

Thank you to everyone who has played so far. If you run into anything strange, let us know in the discussions!
