Thank you for playing Beetle Forest! We have just released the v1.2.0 update, which includes new features, gameplay improvements, and bug fixes.
■ Main Updates
1. New Feature: Beetle Encyclopedia ・Added a new "Encyclopedia" tab to the Options / Pause menu. ・Inspect 3D models of beetles you have caught with full 360-degree rotation. ・View rarity ratings (★) and detailed information. Undiscovered beetles appear as "???", providing a rewarding collection experience. ・Your discovered beetle collection persists across playthroughs in your save data.
2. New Content: 15th Journal Entry Added ・Added a 15th collectible journal entry hidden within the forest. ・Provides subtle hints regarding the special beetles hidden deep within the woods.
3. Gameplay & Exploration Improvements ・Enhanced Night Patrol Behavior: Optimized the patrol paths of wandering threats in the night forest. Failing a beetle catch at night now attracts nearby threats toward the disturbance, heightening the tension of night exploration. ・Special Beetle Spawning Balance: Improved spawn conditions to prevent already-captured special beetles from repeatedly spawning and clogging your cage, ensuring smoother story progression.
4. Bug Fixes & Stability ・Ruins Monster Detection & Respawn Polish: Overhauled monster proximity and capture detection in the late-game ruins area, eliminating phantom detections and respawn collision issues. ・Game Over Flow Fix: Fixed an issue where game-over sequences could trigger consecutively under specific conditions. ・UI & Layout Optimization: Optimized font scaling and text layout across different resolutions and languages.
Thank you for your continued support of Beetle Forest!
