Dungeon Forge Crafting, Progression & Quality of Life Update
Thanks to everyone who has been sending feedback and suggestions.
Based on recent player feedback, I’ve been working on a new quality-of-life and progression update for Dungeon Forge focused on making the game easier to understand, easier to navigate, and clearer about what you can unlock as you progress.
What’s new:
- Added a proper Pause Menu
- Added Save & Exit and Continue
- Added a clearer Controls & Abilities help screen
- Improved the tutorial so it now teaches you how to actually use abilities
- Completely reworked the Crafting Menu
- Added crafting categories for Weapons, Armor and Tools
- Added recipe search and filters
- Added clearer material requirements
- Added locked recipe previews so you can see what you’re working toward
- Added NEW indicators for newly unlocked recipes
- Improved building upgrade information
- Added previews showing what recipes unlock at higher building levels
- Added a new Progression Screen showing buildings, upgrades and recipes
- Added notifications when new recipes are unlocked
One of the biggest pieces of feedback was that it wasn’t always obvious how much progression was still ahead of you. This update is designed to make that much clearer.
Dungeon Forge currently includes:
- 100 dungeon floors
- 20 boss encounters
- 110 monster archetypes
- 5 playable classes
- 20 class abilities
- 58 item templates
- 27 crafting recipes
- 18 materials
- 4 upgradeable village buildings
I’m also looking at ways to expand the crafting and village progression further in future updates, especially with more meaningful recipes and additional reasons to upgrade your village.
Thank you again to everyone who has played, tested, reported bugs, or shared suggestions. Your feedback is directly helping shape Dungeon Forge.
