20 New Portraits, 3 Difficulty Modes and More Comfortable UI

New faces for new adventures

We've added 20 portraits to character creation: two men and two women for each of the five races – humans, elves, dwarves, half-orcs, and halflings.

From a veteran with an eyepatch to a white-haired dark elf or an elven adventurer with delicate tattoos, the new portraits now appear at the beginning of the selection. Existing portraits and saved characters are preserved.

Small, Big, or Max?

We've also added a quality-of-life improvement: adjustable size for the entire game interface. Small keeps the original size, Big offers a middle step, and Max uses the largest size that fits completely within the available space.

Use the discreet rectangle icon in the top-right corner or visit Options. Switch at any time, and the game will remember your choice. Images keep their proportions and the layout stays the same – no stretching or cropping.

The difference is most noticeable on larger displays. If the interface already fills the available space, the modes may look identical. Depending on your aspect ratio, some background may remain visible around the edges.

Choose Your Difficulty

Every new hero can now begin their adventure on Easy, Normal, or Hard difficulty. Easy reduces enemy HP and attack while making skill checks slightly easier. Normal preserves the original game balance. Hard increases enemy HP, attack, and damage by 20%, raises check DCs by 1, and makes healing services and healing potions 20% more expensive. Existing heroes automatically continue on Normal difficulty.

The update also includes numerous smaller fixes and improvements to combat presentation, quest flow, translations, interface consistency, and overall usability.

Thank you for playing!
