Coastal Journal: New Goals at Sea

Now also available on Android. -> Playstore: Tidewrack

The Coastal Journal adds an optional quest route with new destinations, clues and item rewards. Play alone or in co-op while continuing to build and survive freely.

  • A coastal route with three introductory objectives and 18 further steps involving signal stations, salvage and the lighthouse keepers.
  • Open the journal from the menu or during play. Quest cards show objectives, required items and rewards, with navigation to the next station.
  • Reworked quest stations, ruins and underwater discoveries with solid collisions and improved terrain placement.
  • Walkable wrecks with salvageable parts and loot. Recovered sails and solar panels can be placed as complete building kits.
  • Public dedicated servers: each player has individual main-quest progress and rewards. Regular co-op keeps shared main-quest progress.
  • More compact main and pause menus, clearer save slots and more readable quest text.
  • New content and guidance in all 15 supported languages.

Existing saves are preserved. Very old worlds without coastal islands remain unchanged; the new route is not yet available there. Crossplay requires both games and the dedicated server to be updated. Cross-save remains unavailable.
