Update 1.0.8 — Car Paint and Improvements
🎨 Car paint
- Where to paint: in the Garage, click your car to open paint customization.
- How to earn points: each car has its own mileage, which goes up as it races. Every mileage level gives the car 1 paint point. Mileage starts counting from this update.
- Unlocking colors: pick one of the 11 colors in the palette, spend 1 point to unlock it and apply it. The car's original color is already unlocked.
- Permanent colors: once unlocked, a color stays available for that car, and you can switch between your unlocked colors whenever you like.
- In races: the new color kicks in from the next race, and other players see your paint job too.
- Level track: shows how far you are from the next point.
- Mascot alert: your mascot lets you know when the equipped car has a paint point to spend.
✨ Refreshed look
- Inventory, Steam Inventory and Collection now use rarity cards, making it easier to spot each item at a glance.
- Buttons, frames and tooltips have been redesigned and look cleaner.
🔧 Part tooltips
- Comparison with the equipped part: each attribute has a bar, with gains in green and losses in red.
- Upgrade: a line shows how much the part's upgrade adds to each attribute.
- Collection: the Collection Piece badge appears when the part fills an empty slot in a set, along with the set progress (e.g. 1/4).
- Steam: Steam items show the Tradable on Steam badge.
🐾 Mascots
- The mascots screen now has two scrollable columns.
- Each mascot's card shows which attribute it boosts.
- The starter mascot now appears alongside the others in the collection.
🌍 Translations
- General translation improvements.
- In Asian languages, quantities in lists are now aligned with the item name.
🛠️ Fixes
- Fixed cut-off text on Windows with display scaling at 100%. This affected tooltips, mascot cards and TrackCards.
- Rain, fog and other weather effects no longer freeze during the championship intro.
- The game no longer stops your computer from turning off the display when idle.
🏁 Let's hit the track! More updates are rolling in over the next few days, with new features and functions, just like you're used to. We're keeping the pedal to the metal! 🏎️💨
