Update 1.1.0 — Tutorial, Achievements & Wall Card Update
Controls Tutorial
- Added an interactive single-player tutorial covering camera controls, movement, rolling, and lunging.
- Practice at your own pace with step-by-step prompts, slow motion, and no time limit.
- Replay the tutorial at any time by enabling Controls Tutorial in the Single Play settings.
Improved Wall Card Placement
- Added a holographic preview showing how your selected card will look on the wall before placement.
- The preview turns red when a slot is already occupied by your card.
- Placement now follows your aim, allowing you to target neighboring wall slots without standing directly in front of them.
- Fixed an issue that prevented wall cards from being placed in standalone builds.
Steam Achievements
- Added 11 Steam achievements tied to unlocking cosmetic items: 10 hats and one mustache.
- Newly unlocked cosmetics now award their corresponding achievements.
- Previously unlocked cosmetics are also synchronized with Steam achievements.
New Wall Cards
Four new control cards punish opponents who strike through the wall where they are installed. Each activates once and is consumed. These effects do not block the triggering strike.
- Engage: Reduces the attacker’s movement speed to 40% of normal speed for 3 seconds.
- Corps-a-Corps: Prevents the attacker from rolling for 3 seconds.
- Disarm: Prevents the attacker from attacking for 3 seconds.
- Beat: Stuns the attacker for 1.2 seconds, disabling movement, rolling, and attacks. Also stops an ongoing roll. Camera movement remains available.
Existing Card Changes
- Iron Shield → Parry: Now blocks one strike before breaking, reduced from five.
- Mirror Bounce → Riposte: Replaced the random-angle reflection with a guaranteed counter-hit against the attacker. Consumed after activation.
- Dual Strike → Remise: Now delivers three follow-up strikes instead of one, at 0.5-second intervals in the same spot—four strikes including the original attack. Consumed after activation.
- Sonar Wall → Sonar: Renamed. Its effect remains unchanged: reveals the attacker’s position for 5 seconds when triggered, then is consumed.
Card Selection & Feedback
- Expanded the available wall card pool from 4 to 8 cards.
- Card offers prioritize variety, normally including no more than one control card among the three choices. This restriction can relax when enabled-card settings leave too few alternatives.
- Added an on-screen indicator showing active control effects and their remaining duration.
- Updated card descriptions, wall symbols, and combat announcements to match the new names and effects.
