DeadTide Demo v1.1.1 — Critical Hits + Graphics Settings

Survivors!

Demo v1.1.1 is live. This update makes the horde smarter and you deadlier:

💥 NEW: Critical Hit System Every hit now has a chance to crit — critical strikes deal 2.5x damage and burst on screen as big orange numbers. The power drink has been reworked too: instead of flat double damage, it now boosts your crit chance by 40% for 12 seconds. Drink it at the right moment and the screen turns into an orange storm.

🖥️ NEW: Graphics Settings The settings menu now includes Screen Mode (Fullscreen / Borderless Window / Windowed) and Resolution options. Your choice is saved and applied every time the game starts.

⚔️ The horde is deadlier

  • The boss keeps moving during the fight: it circles you, and its charge now blows right past you and lands behind your back
  • Elite zombies got stronger: faster, tougher, harder to knock back — with better rewards to match
  • Horde surges now grow from boss to boss: the first boss calls 50 zombies, the next ones 100 and 120
  • Dodging boss abilities is a bit harder — but the rule stands: every threat is telegraphed

🔧 Fixes

  • Zombies no longer get stuck twitching on buildings — they now path around obstacles
  • The boss charge ends cleanly when it hits a wall

🔮 On the horizon Check the weapon locks screen: the names of new weapons coming to the full version are already there.

See you in Early Access on September 1. Don't forget to wishlist — the horde is waiting. 🧟
