Major Workshop Update – Better Guidance, Career Progression & Polish

The Fabricator has received a major workshop update!

This update focuses on making the game easier to understand, smoother to play, and more rewarding as your workshop grows.

A completely reworked Tutorial now introduces the most important systems without locking features behind progression. And if you need a reminder later, the new Help system lets you revisit the same information at any time.

The career side of the workshop has also been expanded. Growing the company now earns Goodwill, which can be spent on useful career advantages — including removing disciplinary warnings, arranging a full Company Owner Away Day, receiving a personal bonus, or getting a discount on your next ownership purchase.

What’s new and improved:

  • Reworked and expanded Tutorial
  • New in-game Help system
  • New Goodwill system
  • Improved Company Ownership progression
  • Company valuation is now capped at €120,000
  • Improved Workshop Status screen
  • Clearer machine controls and production information
  • Machine cleaning is now explained properly
  • Improved worker and machine management UI
  • Improved save/load behaviour
  • Numerous UI, text and layout improvements
  • Multiple production, career and progression bugs fixed
  • General stability and quality-of-life improvements

The goal remains the same:

Start as an employee. Run the workshop. Grow the business. Buy your way into the company — and eventually make it yours.

Thank you to everyone playing, wishlisting and following The Fabricator.

There is still more to come!
