0.2.13 - Petroleum, refining, and visual improvements

  • Added sealed Crude Oil wells to new worlds, found between 40% and 60% depth.
  • Added the Refinery and Fuel Processing research to convert Crude Oil into liquid Fuel.
  • Updated Liquid Pipes and the Liquid Pump to transport Water, Crude Oil, or Fuel, with clearer connections and contents and a new pump animation.
  • Added Liquid Filter configuration. It can now accept every liquid, allow only the selected liquid, or block only the selected liquid among Water, Lava, Crude Oil, and Fuel.
  • Updated Crude Oil and Fuel so they ignite when touching Lava or burning materials.
  • Reworked block physics to separate liquids by density and make liquid flow, gas expansion, and loose-material movement more consistent.
  • Aligned the Refinery artwork, animation, and collision area with the shape of the machine.
  • Standardized icons: the hotbar now uses illustrations, while the I/Q menus use redesigned colorful pictograms for the Bucket, Sieve, Pickaxe, and Lightsaber.
  • Adjusted Lightsaber research to provide two range upgrades after unlocking it. Saved games with legacy levels above the new limit are normalized safely.
  • Added game-mode selection when starting a New Game: Free Mode remains available and Story Mode now appears as Coming soon.
  • Updated the held Axe, Pickaxe, and Bucket visuals, and increased the hotbar size by 10%.
  • Refined the Discharge Tower with a fixed Horizontal Conveyor segment, new collision areas, visible input and output strips, and a conveyor symbol inside the blue indicator.
  • Removed the Sickle. Legacy hotbar slots containing it are cleared safely, while the Vegetable Cutter remains responsible for cutting Grass automatically.
  • Adjusted the far-hill parallax to strengthen the sense of depth in the scenery.
  • Added the internal foundation for a future Sorting Challenge. The mode remains hidden and unavailable in this version.

Next steps

  • Creation of a new trailer in an effort to sell more copies.
