Gunmetal Orbit is out. A quick word from the developer

Hey everyone! I'm the sole developer for this game, my name is Austin.

I made this game because I really love Brotato. I play it on my Steam Deck all the time, but eventually ran out of stuff to do and beat everything. So I decided to build my own and expand on it. A 3D space setting with 2.5D movement, flying around asteroids in an exosuit with up to six weapons, builds to mix and match, and an outpost you can build up and specialize as the run goes on. There's mining too, where carrying more ore means bigger rewards but more risk before you get it back to the station. Shoot the rocks or shoot the enemies? Keep gathering or bank what you've got? And different modes and hazard levels depending on how you want to play.

So far we've got 3 sales and over 75 wishlists! Thank you so much to everyone who's picked it up, wishlisted it, or is just checking it out. I've wanted to make video games since I was a little kid, so having something on Steam that people are actually playing means a lot to me.

I love this game and work on it almost every day. Regular updates are already very normal for it and you can expect that to continue. I'll keep adding things, fixing bugs, and improving it. There's still a lot I want to do!

If you've played, let me know what you think. Especially the sound effects, how the builds feel, and whether a 20 minute run on the couch feels worth it. Comments here, the discussions, or games.linecrush.com/support for bugs. Please include your version and platform. And if you have a minute, an honest review helps more than you would think.

Quick side note for Steam Deck players:

The Steam Deck compatibility review is in the queue, so there's no badge yet. It was built for the Deck from the start though, that's how I wanted to play it myself. If anything is off, tell me and I'll look into it as soon as I can.

Thank you for being here at the beginning and giving my game a chance. I'm extremely thankful and excited to keep making it better.

Much love, Austin
