UPDATE — August 13

CHANNELED WEAPONS (Interest Rate, Fine Print, Change Machine)

The three weapons you use by holding the trigger had a problem: they played the muzzle flash and kick of a gunshot, but they don't shoot anything. That's gone, and each one now sounds like what it actually is:

· Interest Rate — You can finally see it. The golden aura wraps around you, kicks in with a startup thump and hums while you hold it. Every time it collects interest you hear a pulse, and that pulse rises in pitch as the interest compounds: you can hear when your victims are paying double, quadruple, or eightfold. · Fine Print — The beam starts dim at the muzzle and lights up on the victim, with a ring pulsing at the point of collection. · Change Machine — The shield goes from blue force field to a brass plate, with a polished edge and rivets, and it sounds when you raise it.

BETS

The Broker has learned to protect the house. Betting big every room used to be the fastest way to get rich: the cap scaled with your wealth, so winning one bet multiplied what you could stake on the next. Not anymore:

· There's now a hard ceiling on stakes per room, on top of the limit based on your pot. · You can't hold two active bets that are won by the same play. Pick one and its siblings are locked out. · The Spendthrift is no longer won by simply ignoring coins: you must finish the room below 60% of the money you walked in with. It pays less, but it's still the payout for going broke on purpose. · Several easy bets now have their own cap on how much you can put on them.

FIXES

· The Dead Man's Hand freezes your wallet, and that was making things free: you could pay the Inspector's bribe without having the money, leave a tip at no cost, and buy The House in the final room without paying. With a frozen wallet, Floor deals that move money are no longer offered to you.
