Blind Reconstruction, smoother investigations and bug fixes
New: Blind Reconstruction
Put the events you have discovered back in chronological order without seeing their timestamps. This optional challenge is available in the Timeline Analyzer, including in closed cases.
- Shuffled rounds, hints and a score for each completed sequence.
- Your current round and best score are saved for each case.
- Play without spending investigation time or changing your case score.
More reliable investigations
- Report drafts now retain your conclusion, wording and attached evidence when switching screens or restarting the game.
- Signed reports preserve their submitted choices, and closed cases keep their investigation results sealed while allowing you to review the material.
- Improved handling of incomplete or damaged save data.
- Fixed interview question unlocks and hypothesis verification requirements.
- Fixed repeated actions that could charge investigation time again, and blocked investigation changes after the deadline.
- Case timestamps are now consistent across screens. Timeline gaps correctly handle seconds, relative times and midnight crossings.
Performance and interface improvements
- Case translations now load when needed, reducing the main JavaScript download by approximately 73%.
- Improved Timeline Analyzer and status panel layouts in narrower windows.
- Added music volume control to the main menu.
- Improved keyboard controls during the introduction.
