Retro Flight Simulator 2026 – Patch V1.704d
# Retro Flight Simulator 2026 – Patch V1.704d
### Town Autogen Streaming
* Fixed an issue where some towns around JFK were missing when starting a flight. * Restored the stable town generation system used before the 10-mile streaming update. * Town autogen now loads the full area around the starting airport correctly. * Removed several conflicting legacy town streaming gates that were interfering with startup generation. * Town updates now occur at approximately 10-mile flight intervals instead of the older 1–5 mile update cycles. * Prevented terrain/DEM updates from unnecessarily forcing additional town rebuilds during flight. * Reduced frequent town streaming updates that could cause brief frame-rate stutters.
### Takeoff Engine Audio
* Fixed an issue where cruise engine audio could play during takeoff after a long taxi. * Takeoff audio is now determined by actual aircraft ground, throttle, and airspeed conditions instead of accumulated travel distance. * Long taxi distances no longer interfere with the takeoff engine sound phase.
### Flight Control UI
* Fixed an issue where clicking buttons or sliders in the Flight Control / Cockpit Control UI could capture keyboard focus. * Aircraft controls now immediately regain keyboard input after using UI controls. * Players no longer need to click the game screen again before continuing to fly. * Text-entry controls such as Local Time remain unaffected.
### Version
* Updated game version to **V1.704d**.
