Update 0.16.1: orders that stick

Second weekly build. Two things this week: the engine doing what your tactics panel tells it, and an inbox that stays fast in a long career.

Match engine

  • Orders are binding. The HIDE order was quietly opening the hunt gate, and after the plant the team went looking for a fight; now it holds position and waits for contact. With RETAKE on Always, nobody drops into a save. And nobody saves when the opponent is on match point or on the last round of a half, the round gets played.
  • Rushes read MID CONTROL, and nobody walks into fire. On a rush round the MID CONTROL setting never reached the engine and all five piled into the same choke; the mid player splits off now. The fire check shared a flag with smoke pass-through, so players were walking through molotovs; fire is read on its own now, the path is scanned ahead, and they wait for the flames to die.
  • CT stopped smoking T spawn. On maps without dictated chokes (Ancient, Inferno, Overpass, Train) the auto-generated choke points landed on the T spawn exit and CT treated them as smoke targets. The spawn band is out of the derivation, the CT smoke pool got a zone and distance gate, and nade throws have a range limit.

Inbox

  • Bulk actions. Archive the read ones, archive everything, mark everything read. There is an archive view and an undo, one message at a time or in bulk. Messages waiting on a decision never go into a bulk archive.
  • Faster. The inbox was slowing down in a long career. The list is no longer rebuilt every frame, rows load as you scroll, and the read and archive record no longer grows without a ceiling. The page opens about six times faster.
  • Easier to read. Subject, sender and body were reworked, the body text is bigger and the paragraph spacing is fixed.
  • Names are links. Players, teams and tournaments mentioned in a message are clickable and open the right page.
  • Star and Archive got labels and tooltips, and the action buttons now speak the button language of the rest of the game.

Fixes

  • The inbox stayed in the old language after you switched languages.
  • The category label came out in English on the Turkish build.
  • Some notifications were missing translations. The new strings are complete in every language.
