Catching Up: All the Updates Since August 29! Lots of fixes!

Hey everyone!

My last update post was on August 29, that doesn't mean updates have stopped though, so there's quite a bit to catch up on :)

First off, thanks again for all the feedback, reviews and bug reports. I read everything. The good stuff, the frustrations, the suggestions, all of it. Quite a few changes below started with someone pointing out something that wasn't working properly or just wasn't fun to deal with.

Here's what I've been working on since that last post: - More things to do around the casino. Casino Activities now includes short trials of special poker and blackjack formats, repeatable rival matches, and three-stage Casino Runs where you choose safer or bolder challenges and decide whether to bank your score or keep going. - More help learning the games. The Academy now covers all five games, with interactive practice for blackjack and roulette. There are also optional warm-ups before heading to the tables, with clearer instructions about what each exercise actually asks you to do. - Better conversations and more character stories. I went through Table Talk and phone conversations across all 50 characters. Personal questions should get more personal answers, follow-ups should make more sense, and replies should better match what you actually chose. There are also eight optional encounters with familiar casino faces, including little challenges, choices and follow-ups. - More complete translations. Conversation, phone and career-story text is now translated across all 30 supported languages. I've also corrected confusing wording and inconsistent terms throughout the interface. - Improvements to the optional local dialogue model. Installation can resume interrupted downloads, incomplete installations can be removed, and loading or busy responses are handled better. Normal conversations still work without installing it. - Poker improvements. Opponents' revealed cards are easier to read, and your own cards now have a clear upright rank and suit readout beside your player information. All-in runouts show winning chances, with more information in hand history and your career records. I've also fixed duplicate opponents, overly passive lineups at some lower tables, raises into all-ins nobody could answer, and old bets lingering after the pot was paid. - More flexible blackjack betting. There are now minus and plus buttons beside the wager field, while typing an amount still works. Betting controls stay properly locked during a hand. Session information and hints are clearer too. Across the house games, I also fixed situations where you were told you couldn't afford a bet even though you had enough money in your bankroll. - Better roulette controls and statistics. More convenient access to all chip values, a remembered chip selection, a visible spin counter, and hot/cold statistics covering your whole table visit. Several overlapping labels, messages and character positions that got in the way of betting have been fixed. - More useful slot information. You can compare cabinets before playing and check detailed wagers, payouts, net results and winning combinations, both per machine and in your career overview. Auto presets now go up to 2,000 spins. Win chances, long-term returns, line payouts and progressive jackpots are explained more clearly. These explanations don't change the odds. I've also fixed misleading result displays after free spins and jackpot objectives that weren't counting the intended wins. - A clearer interface and more control over your view. Tables now have remembered zoom and pan controls. Profile pages have been reorganized, long text fits better, and several overlapping buttons and panels have been cleaned up. Windowed mode stays selected after quitting, language changes preserve your active session, and keyboard/controller navigation has had fixes too. - A better first evening. Earlier first promotions, clearer starter goals, earlier introductions to rivals and the phone, and fewer repeated onboarding interruptions. “Finish this later” should actually mean later. - Visual polish around the casino. Updated room finishes, carpets, furnishings and table materials, with a more consistent Art Deco look. The character creator also keeps your character visible while appearance changes are being prepared. - More transparency and more reliable progress. Blackjack and baccarat now expose shuffle-verification information after a shoe is finished. I've also worked on saves, rewards, objectives and Steam leaderboard updates so your progress is recorded and displayed more reliably. - A lot of work on loading, crashes and stutter. This includes startup, returning to the floor, moving between games, memory usage and unnecessary background work. The latest pass also covered a full run from startup and loading a profile through all five games under heavy artificial load. That caught more issues, including false loading failures and a baccarat layout problem on smaller screens.

During these updates, I also added one-time thank-you and apology gifts for eligible existing careers. I know there are still rough edges, and I'm not going to pretend every performance issue is gone.

However without your feedback it's very difficult to fix, so please keep the feedback coming. If something still stutters, feels confusing, is difficult to read or just doesn't work as expected, let me know. For performance problems, your specs and where it happens are especially helpful.

Thanks again for playing, being patient, and helping me improve the game. I really appreciate it!
