Update 0.9.2.2 — Deeper Engineering, Clearer Race Weekends
Update 0.9.2.2 is now available. Update 0.9.2.2 builds on the engineering labs and qualifying guidance introduced in 0.9.0, with deeper workshop decisions and a clearer view of the race weekend.
AERODYNAMIC PACKAGES
Choose a matched front and rear wing package for the weekend: Standard, Low Downforce or High Downforce. Specialist packages require development and bring a real compromise between drag and cornering support. The choice is fixed for the weekend; an aero project does not add engine power.
MECHANICAL WORKSHOP
Manage engine, gearbox and cooling units, fit a spare before servicing, and choose inspection, repair or rebuild work with costs and waiting periods. Inspection improves diagnosis; it is not a repair. Garage cooling shutters trade thermal margin against drag. Season-dependent engine, fuel and refuelling rules have also been refined.
EXPLORE THE GARAGE
The existing team garage has improved lighting, contact shadows, depth and workshop detail. Explore Garage lets you walk around with WASD and mouse look, with collision around the car and walls. Fixed presentation cameras remain available, alongside the selected car and team livery.
ENGINEERING LABS: PRESENTATION AND CONTEXT
The existing Wind Tunnel now has more convincing smoke-flow presentation and team-car visuals. The Engine Dyno puts more emphasis on the red heat glow as stress rises. Engineering delivery notices distinguish completed aerodynamic work and supplier releases from what is already fitted. Lab animations remain illustrative previews, not CFD or authoritative measurements; local visual controls do not change the career or race.
WEATHER IN RACE AND QUALIFYING
Rain, tyre spray, wet and drying track presentation, changing light and cloud shadows now provide clearer visual context in both sessions. Shared weather icons help keep the header and qualifying HUD consistent.
WINDOWS AND RACE-WEEKEND GUIDANCE
The engineer feed and follow-camera windows have visible close buttons and Escape-to-close support. Drag their headers to reposition them; they stay within the screen and retain their positions when reopened. Qualifying and race tutorials now give more focused next-action guidance, clearer Lap by lap control discovery, and explicit resume/end choices. Compact layouts, qualifying result labels and pit-flow feedback have also been improved.
