What's Next After 1.0? – Roadmap & Future Updates

🥛 Milk Can Clicker – What's Next After 1.0?

Version 1.0 was a major milestone – but it is not the end of Milk Can Clicker.

The game will continue to receive improvements and new additions after the full release. Several quality-of-life improvements and larger long-term features are already on the roadmap.

Here's a first look at what is planned for future updates:

🧭 Milestones & “Next Goal”

Quest progression has already received improvements, and the next step is making the overall progression even easier to understand.

A planned Milestones system will show where you currently are on your journey from the farm through the dairy, village market and city all the way to the Milk Festival.

A dedicated “Next Goal” section is also planned to make your next major unlock or objective easier to identify.

📊 Run Summaries & Personal Bests

Prestige and successful Milk Festival runs should provide more meaningful feedback in the future.

Planned additions include run summaries, personal bests and comparisons with previous runs.

This should make it easier to see how your farm improves from run to run and where you've set new records.

🏆 Steam Leaderboards

Steam Leaderboards are also among the upcoming features currently planned.

Instead of simply comparing enormous lifetime totals, leaderboards are intended to focus on achievements that can be meaningfully compared between players – such as fast Milk Festival runs or Endless Mode best performances.

Alongside your personal records, you'll be able to see how your best runs compare with other players.

🔢 Better Large-Number Readability

Eventually, every successful milk empire starts producing some rather absurd numbers.

Large resource, production and money values will therefore receive a more consistent and readable presentation.

Additional display options for large numbers are also being considered.

🥛 New Prestige Specializations

Prestige is planned to offer more distinct playstyles in the long term.

Different specializations and Prestige paths should allow you to focus more strongly on specific systems and develop your preferred way of playing.

🎯 Prestige Challenges

Optional Prestige Challenges are also planned for experienced players.

These special runs will modify familiar rules and encourage you to approach existing systems differently.

The goal is not simply to increase costs or waiting times, but to introduce alternative conditions and new long-term challenges.

🛠️ More Quality-of-Life Improvements

Smaller improvements will remain an important part of development as well.

Usability, readability, progression, balancing and existing systems will continue to be reviewed and improved wherever those changes genuinely make the game better.

Not every update needs to introduce a massive new system – sometimes smaller changes make the biggest difference during everyday play.

Your feedback is explicitly welcome.

If you notice something, have an improvement suggestion or would like to see a certain feature in the future, please share it on our Discord server.

Especially after the full release, community feedback will help determine which quality-of-life improvements and future additions should receive priority.

Version 1.0 is the full release. Not the end of the journey. 🥛

The features above are currently planned. Their order, scope and final implementation may change based on player feedback and development.
