Update 0.2.1: startup fix, voice lines restored, reworked study page

Thank you for all the support and feedback on launch day! This update fixes several issues and reorganizes the study page.

Important fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the interface stopped responding and the character did not appear for some players (related to the Steam install path). If the game would not open for you before, it should work after this update.
  • Restored Zhiqiu's pre-recorded voice lines. The previous build did not package the 1,000+ built-in interaction voice clips correctly; they are back now.
  • If something goes wrong during startup, the game now shows a message with a one-click reload instead of leaving an unresponsive interface.

Study page

  • Reorganized study home: one entry point per action, click a word list to start right away, and your last position is marked.
  • Card groups now work like folders: drag word lists in and out, or use "⋯ → Move to".
  • Easier creation: a new card group only needs a name, and "+ New word list here" lets you start adding words immediately.
  • Card management now shows only the word list you opened.
  • A cleaner review screen; cards without their own audio show a gentle hint instead of a red error.
  • Fixed the page jumping to the top when expanding a card group and a misaligned button in the plan dialog.

Interface and animation

  • Clearer primary buttons and more readable text in dark mode.
  • Fixed serif-looking numbers on Chinese Windows, the square shadow around the desktop pet's toolbar, and the character showing through the toolbar.
  • New transitions for menus, dialogue changes and hiding the toolbar; mood emoji now fly in smoother arcs.
  • With the toolbar hidden, speech bubbles follow the character's head, and the "Show toolbar" button sits in the corner instead of covering the character.
  • Check-in, study, rest and part-time job actions use icons in the same art style as items.
  • New "Open save folder" button in Settings to attach the diagnostics log when reporting issues.

If you still run into problems, please let us know in the community discussions and attach diagnostics.log from the save folder.
