Update #2: 100,000 WISHLISTS
Developer Update #2: 100,000 WISHLISTS!
THANK YOU
Before launching our Steam page, our goal was to reach 3,000 wishlists before the public demo, something we were expecting to take months. But here we are, 11 days after the trailer went live, and BELTFED has just passed 100,000 wishlists (and over 1 million views on the trailer). It's really hard to put into words how grateful we are for the overwhelming support we've received. Thank you for putting your faith in us with this project. Thank you for commenting on the YouTube trailer, for joining the Discord, for chatting in the discussions, for sharing your ideas and feedback and comments on the game. We're more motivated than ever to make BELTFED the best it can possibly be, and we fully intend to deliver a kickass game that you guys will love!
I especially want to shout out the guys on Discord. Despite being so new, it already feels like we've established an awesome community filled with like-minded people who are passionate about the same games we are. Big shout-out to the folks who have been helping answer questions in the discussion channels.
FAQ
Speaking of questions: while we've done our absolute best to answer everything, I know we've not been able to get back to everyone (there are just two of us!), so please know it's not intentional. While we really do want to answer everyone's questions personally, it's unfortunately just not possible to see everyone's message. But with that said, the most common questions we get are now online in our FAQ post, so check it out first as you might already find the answer you're looking for.
GAME UPDATES
In terms of development updates, now that the trailer is done, we're back to core gameplay features, improvements and mechanics. We've been working a lot on improving the first time user experience with a revamped tutorial and an optional advisor window that'll guide new players through the ins and outs of the game. Perhaps more excitingly, we've also just added a giant buildable bubble shield which intercepts ranged attacks from enemies, but at the cost of A LOT of power.

But that's all for now. Thank you again for making this the best game announcement we could have ever dreamt of. Stay awesome, and we can't wait to share more exciting news with you soon!
