On Hold v1.1.0 - Workshop and Creator Update

Build your own corner of Nimbus.

On Hold 1.1.0 expands modding from extra calls into a toolkit for stories, challenges, office themes, languages and private modded co-op.

A bigger Mod Studio

  • Sixteen content editors. Create calls, knowledge articles, CRM actions, lead packs, mail, career-day overrides, modifiers, local trophies, translations, voice replacements, office themes, challenges, campaigns, Night Shift waves and memos, and recurring characters. Guided forms, examples and full JSON views help you get started.
  • Templates and safer editing. Start with an editable example, duplicate calls, undo or redo edits, and recover unfinished drafts. Clone an installed pack into a separate local mod without changing the original Workshop item.
  • Test before you publish. Test a call, shift or authored experience with a chosen seed, day, caller and language. Inspect diagnosis, branches, solutions and recording fallback in the playtest panel. These tests use temporary progress.
  • Better recording tools. Import recordings in batches, inspect coverage and export a recording script. Stable line IDs keep recordings attached to the right dialogue when lines move.

More ways to play and create

  • Community experiences. Launch custom challenges, standalone campaigns and authored Night Shift runs from the title menu. Creators can set call pools, starting equipment, objectives, waves and memos. Custom results stay separate from stock Night Shift records and rewards.
  • Branching stories. Build conversations with choices, diagnosis and bounded rules. Add recurring callers, relationships, follow-up calls, mail choices and alternative endings. Campaign progress saves in its own authored experience within a career slot.
  • Languages, voices and office themes. Add community translations, replace supported recordings and customize office colors, posters, wallpapers and supported prop skins. Interface, subtitle and audio choices remain independent.
  • Private modded co-op. Host a separate modded lobby with matching gameplay packs. Teammates can download Workshop requirements or import matching ZIPs, then recheck their content before Ready. The agreed content stays frozen for the match; local presentation choices can differ.

A clearer Workshop workflow

  • Browse, install and organize. Search Workshop, sort and filter packs, inspect downloads and validation reports, and keep named profiles with explicit pack order and source selection.
  • Safer compatibility and saves. Dependencies, conflicts and supported modes are checked together. Modded saves record their required content, and frozen local snapshots prevent an update from changing an active session.
  • Share online or offline. Import and export validated ZIPs without Steam. Workshop publishing shows progress, remembers settings, and previews changed files before an update. New items start Private so creators can choose when to share them.

The official handbook

The new game website includes an 18-chapter player and creator manual, real gameplay screenshots, illustrated chapter cards, search, a print edition and downloadable starter packs.
