Patch 1.2.04 — Tactical Preparation & Automation
New Features
- Tactical Preparation Pause A new Pause/Resume button is available during preparation. Pausing stops the wave countdown while still allowing you to build, upgrade, sell, and reposition your defenses. The button appears and hides alongside the Skip button. Skipping preparation now starts the wave immediately without granting bonus gold.
- Automatic Global Abilities A new Automatically Use Global Ability option has been added under Settings → Gameplay. When enabled, your selected global ability is used whenever it is ready. Automatic casting is disabled during preparation and waits until at least one enemy has spawned, preventing abilities from being wasted.
Balance Changes
- Preparation Skip Reward Removed Skipping preparation no longer provides bonus gold. This supports the new tactical pause system without rewarding players for avoiding preparation time.
- Per-Wave Bonus Scaling Adjusted Per-wave bonuses from cards retain their original exponential growth through wave 500. After wave 500, they continue growing linearly from the value already reached. This preserves strong builds throughout the earlier waves while preventing extreme numbers during very long runs.
Bug Fixes
- Gold and Upgrade Overflow Fixed an issue where selling highly upgraded turrets could return more gold than was invested. Turret refunds are no longer affected by gold-income multipliers, and large gold values are now safely limited to prevent them from overflowing into negative numbers. Extremely high upgrade costs will also no longer overflow and become permanently stuck at 1 gold.
- Level 10 Evolution Lock Fixed an issue where a tower could remain permanently stuck at level 10 if its evolution choice was closed or interrupted. Unresolved evolution choices now reopen when the affected tower is selected. The evolution window only closes after a valid evolution has been successfully applied.
