Trickster: The Fool's Wager is out — and it's Ukrainian Games Festival week
Six players, one tarot deck, and a room lit by candles.
Trickster is a trick-taking card game where you announce, out loud, how many tricks you intend to win — and then have to live with it. Land the bid exactly and every trick pays ten times over. Take one too many and a thirty-point hand collapses to four. Take one too few and you go into debt. The whole table watches you decide.
It's out now on Windows, macOS and Linux, cross-play in one build:
- Solo — deal a full six-seat table against AI across four difficulty tiers
- Online — private tables for 2–6 via a 6-character room code; drop out and a bot holds your seat until you come back
- LAN — no account, no server, no internet
- Tarot Mode — the 22 Major Arcana enter the deck, and each one breaks a rule the game just spent nine rounds teaching you
- 45 achievements, full controller support, five languages (EN / UK / DE / IT / FR)
This is my first game. I built it alone, and it's out during the Ukrainian Games Festival (17–24 August).
If you play this week and have a minute, an honest Steam review — positive or negative — is the single most useful thing you can do for it.
