OPEN GUARD Update 1.1.2

OPEN GUARD Update 1.1.2

This update improves Fighter Career weigh-ins and makes weight-management risk clear before competition along with other fixes and improvements.

Fighter Career

  • Fixed event-week conditioning. Conditioning selected for the week now improves weight discipline before the event weigh-in is checked.
  • Fixed tournament weigh-in timing. Making weight is decided once before the bracket begins. After passing, a fighter cannot be withdrawn for missing weight between rounds.
  • Made weight risk clear. The Overview and Training screens now show projected weight discipline and the exact missed-weight risk for an upcoming competition week.
  • Improved competition messaging. The Play, Watch, or Sim prompt now makes it clear that the weigh-in happens before any bouts begin.
  • Clarified Conditioning. Conditioning now states that it improves physical attributes and weight discipline.
  • Corrected the 60% safety boundary. Tiny rounding errors can no longer treat a fighter at 60% weight discipline as below the safe threshold, including values loaded from older saves.
  • Improved preparation advice. Weight warnings recognize conditioning already in your plan and explain when recovery needs several weeks. Extra conditioning sessions do not multiply the weekly weight-discipline recovery.
  • Protected future event bookings. Missing weight now withdraws your fighter only from that event, preserving later registrations and signed gym contracts.
  • Improved the competition popup. The Play, Watch, or Sim dialog now fits smaller windows, wraps longer text and scrolls while keeping Cancel accessible.

Saving and Recovery

  • Protected unfinished gym competitions. Gym saves are now blocked until the current competition is finished or forfeited, preventing saves that cannot restore the live bracket. Save & Quit explains the reason and keeps the game open.
  • Safer gym autosaves. Autosaves wait while a competition is unfinished and are checked again when you return from Match Day.
  • Protected tournament history. History is now verified before a save is committed, and backup recovery restores the matching history alongside your campaign.
  • Clearer save failures. If tournament history cannot be written safely, the save is refused and your previous save is preserved.

How Weight Discipline Works

  • A week with at least one Conditioning session adds 8 percentage points.
  • A week without Conditioning removes 5 percentage points.
  • At 60% or higher, the fighter makes weight automatically.
  • Below 60%, the missed-weight chance is shown before advancing into competition week.

Existing Fighter Career saves remain compatible with v1.1.2.
