v1.0.1 Patch Notes

v1.0.1 is now available! This update adds separate control bindings, streamlines several challenges, and fixes issues with minigames, combat, and custom maps.

Gameplay & Level Adjustments

  • Climbing and running can now be bound separately on both keyboard and controller. Existing default bindings are retained.
  • Reduced the number of waves in the Chapter 5 training grounds, shortened enemy spawn intervals, and adjusted spawn configurations on Easy and Hard difficulties.
  • Reduced the hospital medicine-sorting challenges to one level per set, and the light-switching challenges at the instructor's home to three levels.
  • Adjusted the darkroom door's target and updated foreground elements on some maps, along with glow settings for collectibles.

Minigames & Achievements

  • Added the missing first-clear and all-levels-clear achievements and icons for Breaking Meow, and corrected the related localized text.
  • Minigame level completion records are now saved with your save file. Fixed level unlocks and progress tracking for all-levels-clear achievements.
  • Added the missing pinball game completion trophy and prevented duplicate counting.
  • Fixed being unable to jump after moving in the darts minigame.
  • Fixed controller dashes accidentally triggering pause or exit in minigames.

Combat & Scene Fixes

  • Fixed attacks appearing behind the player when no directional input was held.
  • Fixed keys getting stuck during death and respawn, and keys being collected repeatedly during respawn. Improved state cleanup during the death screen's blackout.
  • Fixed unintended damage from the tops of vertically extending spikes, and spike platforms occasionally failing to trigger when stepped on repeatedly.
  • Fixed minecarts getting stuck in collisions while going uphill, and disappearing after moving between rooms, which could block progression.
  • Fixed missing slicing effects when the dog boss's full-screen slash dealt a fatal hit, and added the missing background music for phase three.
  • Fixed the answer prompt appearing before the conditions for the doctor's phone call were met.

UI & Custom Maps

  • Fixed default focus and navigation issues in the settings menu.
  • Fixed button displays in controller device prompts.
  • Your chosen language is now retained instead of being overwritten by Steam's language setting after a restart.
  • Fixed incorrect switching behavior for the custom maps entry in the main menu.
  • Fixed crashes when playtesting Steam Workshop maps.
  • Added an option to return to the main menu from the player level editor.
