DonEatFish Update Notes

Special notice: The game build has passed Steam's official review. Previous false positives from some antivirus software have been fixed — please play with confidence.

  1. Closing the game no longer gets stuck on "Stopping": Desktop Dock, browser warmup, screenshot and other resident/warmup processes now leave the Steam Job and strip SteamAppId and related env vars.
  2. Opening tools no longer flashes a black console: WMI launches the target exe directly — no nested PowerShell.
  3. DLC purchase reconcile: LicensesUpdated is hooked so ownership syncs faster after buying a license.
  4. Achievement progress is split per Steam account to avoid cross-account save mixing.
  5. Collection achievements wait for the inventory snapshot before pushing to Steam, and false unlocks are corrected (e.g. skin-count achievements).
  6. If Stats are not ready on first fishing/lottery, they are backfilled later — fewer "local unlocked, Steam missing" cases.
  7. Playtime achievements now follow Steam's official playtime.
  8. Leaderboard window is larger; long names are elided; playtime column stays right-aligned.
  9. Leaderboard refresh has a 10-second cooldown and feedback animation.
  10. Leaderboard names resolve more accurately (fewer ); add friends from the board.
  11. Desktop Dock default layout is a single "Default" slot (auto-overwrites on change; old Default 1/2/3 migrate).
  12. On exit, Desktop Dock only restores files to the desktop — exit snapshots no longer overwrite the default layout.
  13. New-player Welcome Fishing: grants a welcome fishing attempt on first launch for a quicker open-chest feel.
  14. Settings add About the Author: creator info, related links, and one-click copy of the feedback email.
  15. Demo → full game prompt: notes that the full free version is live; open the store from tray/dialog.
  16. Screenshot tool follows game/Steam language via i18n.
  17. Packaged UI fonts load correctly from Fonts extracted from tex.pak.
  18. HiDPI / 2K display sampling ratio fixes.
  19. First-run manual / tip layer positioning and topmost behavior are more stable and less covered by skins.
  20. Lottery / item frames use a more consistent cream–brown rounded stroke look.
  21. Fixed single-instance launch failures (stale process / shared memory causing crash or no start).
