v0.5.16 - Visual guidance, Smarter router connections
FluxWerks v0.5.16 - 26-09-2026
New Features
- Flow View - Lines show items and fluids moving through belts, pipes and their buildings, red where something can never work, amber where belt tiers change. Belt and pipe tools show it (switch off in Settings under Construction), as does the Flow View button under Overlays, or Y.
- Area Guides - Lines on the terrain show the height a box leaves behind and highlights show nearby terrain of matching level. Settings under Area Tools set how strong they and the box highlight are.

You can adjust the strength of the new guiding visuals from the Settings -> Area Tools
Improvements
- Router Corners - A belt starting beside a Router's side is now fed automatically. A belt only running past still needs that side's feed On.
- Router Belt Joins - A belt a Router feeds from the side now draws joined to it, as a corner or a T junction.
- Router Warning - A Router that can pass nothing through, with only inputs or only outputs connected, now shows a warning icon.
- Area Tools - Mine and Replace boxes highlight exactly the blocks they will take, Fill boxes darken blocks already solid, and box edges behind terrain show dashed.
- Fill - Fill and Fluid Fill boxes now start on top of the block you click, and Fill works over fluids you can drain, collecting them.
- Area Demolish and Harvest - Boxes now start on top of the block you click, level with what stands on it, or inside Xenomass for Harvest.
- Fill Preview - A Fill box shows the blocks it will place as a see-through preview in the material's colour, and red where it cannot fill.
- Area Info Panel - Shows exactly how many blocks a box will mine, fill or replace, which types it mines, and why any are skipped.
- Tool Hints - The hint panel beside the cursor while building, placing belts and pipes, or sizing an area box now sits further away.
- Production Statistics - Fluids are listed above items with a line between them, and each group's bars now compare only within the group.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed belts and pipes being placeable above the top of the world, and an error when aiming there.
- Fixed one side getting nothing when belts, Routers or Elevators feed the same belt tile from both sides.
- Fixed a belt that starts at a Router and is side-loaded on its first tile drawing as a corner.
- Fixed Routers filling one of several outputs that take the same items until it backed up.
- Fixed Elevators and Inserters putting items onto planned belts that were not built yet.
- Fixed a belt ending against the side of an Elevator shaft drawing as if joined to it.
- Fixed a belt feeding into the side of a planned belt staying unconnected after the plan was built.
- Fixed Elevators and Inserters reaching sloped belts from the side.
- Fixed pipe auto-route dropping a vertical pipe into narrow dips it could cross straight.
- Fixed planned buildings and planned pipes reshaping or joining built pipes before they were built.
- Fixed planned pipe corners and climbs ending up disconnected once built.
- Fixed a flushed pipe not joining the pipes next to it.
- Fixed a new pipe between two different fluids joining either one at random.
- Fixed the pipe inspector showing a filtered pump as working from one of its two pipes.
- Fixed the Area Select highlight having ragged, flickering edges on rough terrain and in rain.
- Fixed area tool box lines vanishing against the sky at night.
- Fixed the first Mine box showing in green instead of its own colour.
- Fixed area Fill saying No Items when the material was only in Cloud Storage.
- Fixed the Replace tool giving you fluid that had already flowed away.
