Controller support, survival balance and a richer world
Thank you for your feedback! This update brings improvements to Hostile Paths and its demo.
- Controller support with remappable buttons, inventory navigation and contextual prompts. Preparations for Steam Deck play are included; device validation is still pending.
- Resource consumption has been rebalanced following player feedback.
- Improved map points of interest, including enemy bases, zombie bases and starting areas.
- Updated menus, tooltips and inventory shortcuts for picking up, dropping, using and equipping items.
- Added and expanded tutorials, including guidance for primary and secondary attacks.
- The basic weapon remains available alongside your equipped secondary weapon. Both share a firing cooldown. Ammunition is grouped into kinetic, incendiary and explosive types.
- More crafting combinations for existing items, with recipe hints on ingredients. Vendors replenish their money and stock each new day.
- More visual and sound effects for combat, environments and transitions, in both the game and demo.
