Maritime Simulator: New Features Soon & Early Access Update 0.2 Is Live Now

Update 0.2 is live

Version 0.2 is now available to all Maritime Simulator players on Steam. This update focuses on making Thames Barrier operations and vessel traffic more reliable.

What’s improved

  • Tankers and pilot tugs now stop more reliably for pilot transfers, including at 20× simulation speed.
  • Pilot boarding waits until both vessels have stopped. Tankers can then continue through the Thames Barrier without becoming stuck behind their pilot tug.
  • Fixed duplicate vessel scheduling.
  • Emergency responders take a more direct route to casualties, and their vessel panels no longer offer controls that do not apply to them.
  • Tidal broadcasts now have the radio channel to themselves. Vessel calls wait until the broadcast finishes instead of speaking over it.
  • Fixed the Clocked In For Duty Steam achievement so it unlocks when you start a shift.
  • Resuming after a pause restores your previously selected simulation speed.

What’s next

We’re working on new features for Maritime Simulator and plan to release more over the coming weeks. We’ll share the details as they’re ready.

Thank you for playing during Early Access and for helping us improve the game.
