Early Access Update 0.2

Version 0.2 is now live on the default Steam branch.

This update addresses vessel handling around the Thames Barrier, emergency response, radio traffic and Steam achievements.

Vessel traffic and pilot transfers

  • Fixed duplicate vessel scheduling that could cause the same vessel to be selected more than once.
  • Improved stopping-point detection at 20× speed so tankers and pilot tugs stop at their intended positions for a pilot transfer.
  • Pilot boarding now begins only after both the tanker and pilot tug have stopped.
  • Fixed a tanker becoming stuck behind its assigned pilot tug. After the transfer, it can continue through the Thames Barrier.
  • Verified that a normal vessel assigned a barrier span can cross at 20× speed.

Emergency response

  • Emergency responders now take a more direct route to a casualty instead of travelling almost an entire route loop to reach a nearby vessel.
  • Fixed normal vessel controls appearing or becoming available for emergency responders when those controls do not apply.
  • Verified a medical emergency from dispatch to completion: the responder reached the casualty, the incident cleared and the vessels resumed.

Radio and tidal broadcasts

  • Vessel radio calls made during a tidal broadcast now wait until the broadcast finishes.
  • If a vessel call is already playing when a tidal broadcast is requested, the broadcast waits for that call to finish. Radio voices should no longer overlap.

Steam integration and achievements

  • Fixed the Clocked In For Duty achievement, which had not reliably unlocked in the Steam version. It now triggers when you start a shift.
  • Corrected the game's Steam App ID configuration and removed a duplicate Steam manager that could prevent the achievement system from running.
  • The achievement system now waits for Steam and the player's stats to be ready before attempting an unlock. It checks whether Steam accepts and saves the result, and retries a failed save.
  • Confirmed that Steam stored the achievement and that it remained unlocked after restarting the game.

Other fixes

  • Pausing and resuming now restores the simulation speed selected before pausing.
  • Updated the displayed game version to Early Access 0.2.
