July was all about improving the level editor, and it has honestly become one of the biggest quality-of-life improvements so far. I received lots of feedback on how to improve the handling, and after many iterations, I’m really pleased with the result. Building levels is now much faster, smoother and much more enjoyable.
Using the improved editor, I added two new chapters, each with their own mechanics, visuals and levels. The icicles were particularly challenging to get right, but they have become my favorite game mechanic. They add a challenging twist and a dynamic way to design levels and interactions.
There were a few issues with the Steam review and controller support, which caused a slight delay, but I managed to release the game and it is now officially available on Steam.
And development doesn’t stop here. I already have ideas for new mechanics, and I’m planning a free content update for fall with a new chapter, more levels and cosmetic additions.
I’m also organizing community level contests with prizes, so creators can get involved and bring their own ideas to life. More news on that soon. 🌱💚
