Update v1.01: Pop UI Overhaul, Replay Skip, Free Cash Gifts & New Traps!

Hi everyone! Update v1.01 is officially LIVE! We’ve packed this patch with fresh UI designs, highly requested quality-of-life features, new traps & outfits, and free in-game gifts for all players! ---

🎁 Free Gifts Delivered to Your Message Box!

To thank everyone who supported our launch, we’ve sent a special gift straight to your in-game Message Box:

  • Free In-Game Cash (Use it in the Wardrobe or Trap Shop!)
  • Vending Machine Trap (Unlocked for Level Editor use!)

🎨 Major UI Redesign & QoL Features

  • Fresh New Pop UI: Replaced the serious tone with a vibrant, comedy-focused pop aesthetic across the Goal screen (COMMUTE STATUS REPORT) and Death screen (DEATH CERTIFICATE)
  • Replay Skip Feature: Hold the Jump button to instantly skip replays and jump straight back into the action!
  • Combo Counter & Score Popups: Added a popup combo counter when scoring GAG POINTS so you can visually see how much chaos each impact caused!
  • Default Preset Changed to MIDDLE: Performance is now set to MIDDLE by default for smoother gameplay. Feel free to adjust to BALANCE or HIGH in options based on your PC specs. • Optimized GIF Generation: Default GIF export size set to LOW to reduce heavy CPU load and keep file sizes manageable.

🛠️ Important Notes: Level Editor Export Guidelines

When exporting your custom maps to share with the world, please keep the following in mind:

  1. Clear Your Stage First: You must clear your own stage before exporting. Make sure to trigger Ragdoll Mode at least once to log a GAG Score for leaderboard competition!
  2. Free Camera Screenshots: When entering a Map Name and clicking EXPORT, a screenshot is captured. Move the free camera to your desired angle (you can hide the UI with the left side slider). Click EXPORT again to retake. Clicking LOCAL reloads it—saving with the same name simply overwrites your local file.
  3. Visibility Settings: Default visibility is set to FRIENDS. Switch the tab to PUBLIC before exporting if you want everyone to play your map! (Note: If exported as PRIVATE, you’ll need to manually change visibility in your Steam Workshop items page later). We can’t wait to see all the crazy stages you create!

🐛 Bug Fixes & Adjustments

  • Fixed fortune messages on the Result Screen not displaying localized text properly. Added 10 brand-new fortune messages!
  • Fixed an issue in the Office Stage where certain traps remained toggled OFF. They are now fully operational. ⚡ Stage Updates & Balance Adjustments
  • Factory Stage Tutorial Added: A tutorial display has been added to the Factory stage.
  • Power Switch Visual Guidance: Electric fields now clearly connect to power switches via visible cables, making switch locations much easier to spot!
  • Truck Stage Speed Reduction: Truck speeds have been reduced by 2 km/h for better balance and gameplay flow.
  • Hardcore Stages Coming This Fall: For players who miss the original extreme difficulty, we are preparing re-adjusted Hardcore Stage versions in a future update planned for this Fall! Stay tuned!

🛠️ Steam Workshop, Friend Codes & Clear Bonuses

We encourage you to play with friends, exchange map codes, and challenge each other's custom creations!

  • Earn Bonuses Everywhere: You now earn Clear Bonuses even when playing maps from the Steam Workshop or direct Friend Codes!
  • Unlock Traps Faster: The more you play, the faster you'll accumulate cash to unlock new traps in the shop.
  • Creator Name Tip: The nickname shown at the bottom right of the Title Screen will be used as your Map Creator Name when publishing to the Workshop!

We’d love to see your hardest nightmare stages and hilarious meme maps on the Workshop! Clear Story Mode and jump into creating or playing community maps!
