Patch 0.2.2 summons over 200 fixes for our Early Access journey- Available NOW!
We’re back on the path and bringing another batch of fixes, tweaks and improvements for our dearest Collectors.
Combat Improvements
- We’ve worked to improve responsiveness for dodging and potion consumption controls, making it easier to use in battle
- We heard our Coven was NOT keen on the repeated enemy introduction cinematic, so we’ve now limited that to the first wave only (let us know if this works for you)
- You also told us that there was too much zoom during combat, so we’ve reduced this - hopefully making it easier to use in battle
New Game Settings
- Added a new God Mode within the accessibility menu - allowing Collectors to focus on the story
- We’ve also added new camera and UI visibility options, allowing Collectors to turn camera auto-lock, enemy health bars and Bateraze jump prompts on or off,

Gameplay Improvements
- You let us know you were finding our Union Cat a little harder to control as Aaron. Because of this we’ve changed cat navigation (including things like auto-jumping down from tables, window ledges, etc.) which will hopefully make things smoother
- We have also automated the Pounce action for the Lacerate mechanic (when NPCs don’t flee) to try and reduce the repetition you’ve mentioned
- Possessed NPC Loafers will now automatically collect reagents
- Entering Noa’s house will now reset suspicion (and cancel combat) to allow Collectors a space to re-focus and plan your next steps
Tweaks and General Improvements
- We’ve taken some time to improve the spellcasting UI, with the Spell HUD now placed over the target and hopefully easier to use overall (though we’d really love feedback on spellcasting, and how we can make spellcasting abilities and options clearer)
- We’ve also added new Confirmation Point Acquired notifications to make things a little clearer, too
- And we’ve also improved feedback for item pickups when players are controlling Loafers
- For audio, 0.2.2 also brings general audio mix improvements and multiple (so many) sound effect updates
Bug Fixes
A huge thank you to all of the Collectors in our Coven, who have been instrumental in reporting bugs, glitches and crashes as you’ve found them. Please keep those reports coming in!
The list here is an overview of what we’d consider to be the larger / more important bug fixes or areas - but do bear in mind that we’re not listing everything (there are over 200 fixes in update 0.2.2. We’d get bored writing them and you’d get bored reading them).

Stability Improvements
- We’ve fixed numerous crashes on supported hardware (though do consider where hardware does NOT align with minimum requirements you may still experience crashes and visual glitches)
Gameplay Fixes
- We’ve fixed an issue that could cause militia NPCs to become (permanently) invincible after checkpoint reload - God Mode is for our Collectors and Bateraze only
- We’ve also fixed combat waves failing to spawn within certain encounters
- We have now fixed multiple instances of enemies becoming stuck in combat
- And we’ve also fixed potion crafting and recipe progression issues after run reset
- We’ve had a word with ALL Union Cats, and your Bateraze will no longer freeze in mid-air when trying to lacerate an NPC
- We’ve also fixed issues with combat slow motion effects which could sometimes persist… forever… making… things… a… little… too… slow…
- Lastly, we’ve fixed an issue where items spawning from a search could fall underneath existing objects, making them impossible to grab
Localisation Improvements
- We know a LOT of our Collectors have been looking for improvements here. While we haven’t 100% fixed all languages, we hope that you should be able to experience the subtitle language that you have actually selected, rather than having them revert to English. There’s still a little work to do, but significant progress in 0.2.2

Quests and Progression
- We’ve got a fix in place to resolve issues for those suffering from incorrect checkpoint loading
- We’ve fixed SEVERAL missing hint unlocks (which we hope will really help with signposting on what you should be doing, but again let us know!)
- We’ve also fixed an issue with watermark progression reappearing after loading checkpoints
UI and UX Fixes
- We’ve moved things around to resolve issues with overlapping UI popups and HUD elements
- We’ve fixed controller vibration remaining active even when you’ve disabled it (otherwise what’s the point of the option)
- We’ve also fixed icon loading issues in potion recipes and progression screens
- And we’ve also resolved an issue where hint text and voiceover content were mismatched
Audio Fixes
- Yes these are different from the audio improvements
- We’ve fixed a few issues of missing audio during transition cutscenes
- We also fixed an issue that could cause audio effects to loop forevereverevereverevereverevereverevereverever
- And we fixed music transition issues following combat
World
- We’ve fixed an issue that allowed Search actions to be used through windows
- We’ve cleaned up collision volumes
- We’ve fixed even more house of Balance navigation issues
- As well as an issue where players couldn’t use the elevator in the hotel
- Lastly, we have corrected mission-specific progression blockers, AND environmental inconsistencies throughout the game

0.2.2 brings a significant number of improvements and fixes, but we’re not done yet. Our Early Access is just beginning and with our Collectors by our side, we’re committed to keeping improvements coming - alongside our four planned major content updates.
Please keep the feedback coming. It’s especially important for changes made during this update, and you’ll find our team are already cloistering around our Discord #ask-the-devs channel to see what you think of 0.2.2.
We’ll be back soon with more news and behind-the-scenes looks, and thank you for your support so far!
