Almost 1,000 Copies Sold! And Development Continues ;)

Hey everyone!

We're getting really close to the first 1,000 copies of Open For Business sold! 🎉

This is a pretty big milestone for me, especially since this is my first game. =)

So, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who bought the game, plays and enjoys it, leaves reviews, reports bugs, and shares feedback and ideas. It really means a lot to me. ❤️

And by the way...

If some of you thought that Full Release meant I was going to stop updating the game...

Nope. Not even close. ;)

Actually, I got a little sick recently, which gave me some extra time away from my regular work to focus on Open For Business. So today I spent that time working on the game and managed to release several small updates and fixes.

And almost all of them happened because you guys wrote about things on the Steam Community forums and in our Discord.

What changed today?

HOTFIX 1.0.1 — Audio Bug Fix

Fixed several audio settings that weren't working correctly.

Weather and additional sound volume can now be properly adjusted, and cash register, building, system and other sounds are now correctly affected by Master Volume.

Thanks to KxnnyCore and Eclipse for the detailed bug reports!

HOTFIX 1.0.2 — Loyal Customer quests can now be declined

This was added by popular demand. ;)

You can now simply click “Decline” if you don't want to complete a Loyal Customer quest.

The next Loyal Customer will still appear randomly after approximately 1–2 hours of gameplay, and yes — you can decline that one too. :D

HOTFIX 1.0.3 — UI readability improvement

A small adjustment aimed at making parts of the interface easier and more comfortable to read.

HOTFIX 1.0.4 — Price Tag Color & Music Randomizer

The old yellowish-orange price tags have been replaced with a dark blue-purple color, and I slightly increased the font size to make them easier on the eyes.

Thanks to alansimm29 for the feedback! ;)

I've also added a new shortcut:

Shift + M — play random music

This can also help if the music occasionally stops after lowering the music volume to 0 and turning it back up again.

So yeah...

Please don't be afraid to leave feedback, guys.

I read the Steam Community discussions. I read Discord. I see your bug reports and suggestions.

I can't promise that every suggestion will make it into the game, and sometimes even seemingly simple things can be much more complicated than they look.

For example, Pause Mode.

I've already tried implementing it — honestly. :D Unfortunately, right now it breaks some of the game's mechanics instead of simply pausing them.

So I haven't managed to make it work properly yet.

But I think I'll be able to figure it out in the future. ;)

The important thing is: keep writing.

If something annoys you — tell me. If you find a bug — tell me. If you have an idea — tell me.

Some things I can fix quickly. Some will take longer. And some may simply not work with the game as it currently exists.

But your feedback genuinely helps me understand what needs attention.

There's still a lot we can do, and together we can make Open For Business even better. :)

And once again — thank you to everyone who has supported my first game.

We're almost at 1,000 copies sold! ❤️

See you in the next update. ;)
