Developer Notes
Hello. I am TEXAS, the PD of Saga of Yurina.
Saga of Yurina is our first game, built in the evenings after work and on weekends while we held down our day jobs. When we started, I assumed six months would be enough, but by the time it was finished two years had gone by. About five artists worked with us along the way. Some helped for a little over a month, and some stayed with us for the whole two years.
Over those two years there were stretches where I was worn out and running low on energy. Whenever that happened, I would spend a month or so building a small game on my own, such as Touhou Volleyball, just to clear my head.
Developing after coming home from work turned out to be harder than I had imagined. For something that took two years to make, the volume ended up smaller than I had hoped, and that does leave me with some regret.
Rather than covering the entire story of the original work, we centered the game on Chapters 1 and 2 and on the growth of Yurina alone. Rewriting the story from Yurina's point of view meant cutting a great many characters and side episodes. What I wanted to focus on was her inner growth: Yurina once saw duels as nothing more than a means to restore her family, and as she searches for a reason to live, she comes to accept the duels themselves as something meaningful.
The art work took far more time than expected, so parts of the game ended up smaller in scale than originally planned. I drew the pixel art for some of the enemies myself, and I slipped in characters I personally like, such as Misora and Shisui, even though they have nothing to do with the story. In terms of the setting, I would be grateful if you read them as Mikoto who carry those goddesses.
I am sure you will notice many shortcomings, and I would be grateful for your understanding. If you leave feedback, I will fix whatever is within my power to fix. Please send bug reports and feedback to the email address below and I will read them.

Lastly, I would like to say a little about the original work. This is a fan game, so there is an original board game and a novel behind it. A digital demo of the original board game was released on Steam recently, so if it has caught your interest, I hope you will give it a try.
- Sakura Arms ~Radiant Duels~ :
Open this on SifterFor those curious about the full story of the original, I recommend the novel. The original author has made it available online for free.

It would mean a great deal to me if you enjoy Saga of Yurina.
