Regarding Leaderboard Regular Season 5 Issues
Greetings, Star Guardians.
We have identified an issue in the Timespace Junction content of the ongoing where using certain heroes allows players to play in an unintended manner.
We sincerely apologize for not being able to provide our Star Guardians with a stable gameplay environment due to this issue and the various issues that have affected the Leaderboard over time.
Accordingly, please see below for the measures we will be taking for this season and the changes to the Leaderboard going forward.
1. Rewards
As the issue described above may affect Leaderboard records, we have determined that it would be difficult to ensure fair rankings.
As a result, rewards based on final ranking will not be distributed for this season. Instead, all Star Guardians who participated in the Timespace Junction Leaderboard will receive 20 ‘Laurel of Glory’ after the season ends, regardless of their ranking.
✦ Apology Compensation
1. General Participation Reward: Star Fragment x1,000
2. Sector Participation Rewards:
- Timespace Junction Sector 3: Laurel of Glory x20
- Timespace Junction Sector 4: Laurel of Glory x20
* The compensation will be provided to Star Guardians who participated in Timespace Junction Sectors 3 and 4 during the current Leaderboard season.
* The compensation can be claimed from the in-game mailbox after the October 8 (Thu) maintenance until October 28 (Wed) 14:59 (UTC).
2. Leaderboard Rewards from ‘Regular Season 6’ Onward
With rankings determined by even the smallest differences, the various factors affecting the system have at times made it difficult for us to respond quickly. We sincerely apologize once again for the disappointment this has caused many of our Star Guardians.
In time attack content, numerous systems are at play, including hero skills, movement, terrain, and combat mechanics. As a result, unintended methods of play have sometimes only been discovered after a season was already underway. While we worked to address each issue as it was identified, some had already affected Leaderboard records by that point, making it difficult to ensure fairness in ranking-based rewards.
With this in mind, we have reviewed how the Leaderboard will be operated going forward. As we cannot always guarantee the fairness of rankings, we believe that continuing to provide ranking-based rewards would make it difficult to fairly reflect the results of players who compete as intended.
Starting with Regular Season 6, all Leaderboards will provide the same rewards to all participating Star Guardians, with no Titles or differentiated rewards based on ranking.
The Leaderboard will continue to run on the same schedule as before, and you will still be able to view your records and rankings. Regardless of rewards, we will continue to provide an environment where you can enjoy the challenge of competing for the best records.
We understand that this change may be disappointing for Star Guardians who have worked hard to achieve their Leaderboard records, and we kindly ask for your understanding. We will do our best to prepare and introduce new content where Star Guardians can enjoy taking on new challenges.
We will continue to do our best to provide a better experience for all Star Guardians.
Thank you.
