Watch on YouTube ↗MXGP 26 is out now!
The official game of MXGP is here on Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. MXGP 26 is our second MXGP title and the first from Artefacts Studio, built on a whole new engine with reworked physics, dynamic track deformation and better air control.

What's in the game
- The full 2026 season: the official MXGP and MX2 calendar, with 19 tracks, 16 bikes and the official riders
- Five ways to race: Grand Prix, Championship (a career-lite mode), Time Attack, The Compound (free roam) and Online
- Dynamic track deformation: ruts build up lap after lap and change your lines
- Three surfaces, dry and wet: hard pack, sand and clay, each with its own feel in the rain
- Bike and gear customisation: liveries, licensed gear and official logos to build a rider in your own image
- Replay and photo mode: relive your races and capture your best shots

Ride your way
When you start the game, you choose an assist profile from Amateur to Expert. Amateur gives you plenty of help in the air while you learn. Once you're comfortable, switch some or all assists off for full free control, including free whips and scrubs, if you can handle it.
You can also turn on manual stand and sit. A HUD element shows whether your rider is standing or seated, and it isn't just visual: the rider's weight changes how the bike behaves. It's off by default, so the game chooses for you until you switch it on.
Grip, assists and track deformation were all tuned with community feedback, and the team keeps listening.

On track
- Up to 20 riders offline in MXGP, and 16 in MX2 to match the 16 official riders on the 2026 grid
- Online races with up to 10 riders, so the experience stays smooth
- Public ranked lobbies with Elo, plus private lobbies
- Four AI levels from Amateur to Expert, tuned for every track and taking multiple lines through the turns

Your questions, answered
We asked the community for questions, and Romain, Lead Producer at Artefacts Studio, answered them in our developer Q&A.
Watch on YouTube ↗- Post-launch support: the team is following your feedback on Steam, Xbox and PS5. The first fixes focus on bugs that affect compatibility, such as on some PCs.
- Career mode: MXGP 26 rebuilt everything, focusing on what makes a good motocross game. A good career mode takes time, so it's the focus for the next iteration.
- Cross-play: not in MXGP 26, but being looked into for the next iteration.
- Removable handguards: not possible in MXGP 26, but being looked into for the future.
- More riders on the grid: this year the focus was performance. The team will try to add more riders if they can, but it isn't confirmed yet.
