MAJOR NEW UPDATE: AUDIO, QUICK EDITING, AUTOMATIC GIF-TO-APNG CONVERSION AND MORE

First and most importantly, sound support has been added to animations. Many of you asked for it, so I added it as a new feature.

In the Quick Options section inside the animation menu, you will see this new button.

Here you will find a settings menu where you can add audio, change the volume, choose the playback mode, and sync the FPS to the audio. Note: if the audio is too long and is not the animation’s original audio, I recommend not using automatic adjustment, because this option lowers or raises the FPS so the start and end of the animation match the start and end of the audio.

Another thing many of you requested was a way to make quick changes to an animation without having to close it and open it again.

You can find this new option in either menu (Modern or Options Only).

From this menu you can instantly change the speed, size, and rotation without closing the animation.

Another feature I consider very important is automatic GIF-to-APNG conversion. I see many people still using GIF instead of APNG, even though APNG provides much better quality.

When you select or load a GIF, an option to convert it to APNG will appear. If you convert it, both the original GIF and the APNG will be kept. Also, if you reduce the APNG size by 1 pixel, image enhancement will be applied to reduce the jagged edges found in the original GIF.

Another new option lets you drag GIFs or other animations directly into your library.

You can now also create animations from image sequences.

Just click Add Animation and a new option will appear that lets you create an APNG animation from the images you select.

The OBS message bug that appeared in the lower-right corner has been fixed, and performance while using OBS has also been improved.

I think that covers everything. If I remember anything else, I will post another announcement. I will keep an eye on your comments in case any bugs appear so I can fix them. ;)
