The Summer Flames Tour Ends with the La Pantera Concert!

Hey Disco Crew!

We’ve been teasing all month, and it’s finally here! The La Pantera Update is live - the finale of the Summer Flames Tour and the biggest Early Access update yet. She’s been watching you from the shadows for weeks. Now she’s ready to step into the spotlight.

Meet La Pantera

The child of two legendary musicians, Dahlia should have had it all. Instead, she became the poster child for grief and loss. A pianist and dancer, she blooms, she blazes, and she leaves only ghosts behind.

Dahlia favors long, flowing combos with her twin piano fans, Sugar and Spice, before dancing circles around you with her phantom dance partners. Her stage is as vibrant as she is, pulling Charlie through nightclubs, jungles, and the aftermath of a volcano. Hope you’re ready to turn up the heat!

New Setlist

La Pantera is Latin beats meet Spanish piano, and it prowls in like it owns the room. But it doesn’t stalk its prey alone. This update brings five new songs to Infinite Disco: La Pantera in both a Radio Edit and a heavier Boss Remix, plus Sugar and Spice, Suavemente, and Kumbala. Eight new Challenges land alongside them, so there are plenty of fresh reasons to chase a better score and really learn the rhythm of her set.

New Moves: Phantom Dance

Defeat Dahlia to unlock her piano fans along with her Idol Power Set: Fan the Flames. Her core ability, Phantom Dance, dodges away, leaving a phantom dance partner behind. These spinning Pyroettes erupt for several beats, damaging nearby enemies. Charlie has the option to flashback to the Pyroette, detonating it to send enemies flying.

Dahlia’s skill tree rewards perfection. Keeping your rhythm as you dance in and out of harm's way will fan the flames of your fever meter, and even set your fists on fire—literally—with our new status effect: Burn. Chip away at enemy health on every beat Burn is active.

There are also a couple more skills than usual in Dahlia’s tree. It’s Early Access, so we’re experimenting. Have fun, and we look forward to your feedback.

New Quests: Welcome Dahlia Home

Beat Dahlia, and she moves into The Encore with her own quests and dialogue to dig into. The Encore was her home long before Charlie Disco, so following up with her will lead to some deep cuts from Disco lore.

While you are back there, you might notice the bar sounds better than it used to. As you upgrade The Encore, new speakers now carry your jukebox music through the whole bar, so leveling the place up actually turns the music up too.

There is a bouquet of new Dahlia cosmetics to unlock and make Charlie even more stylish (how is that possible?!). Fresh Dance Moves are available with Salsa Fan, Honest Hips, and Bad Boy Boogie. And of course, there is Dahlia memorabilia to collect, which adds some much needed greenery to The Encore.

New Venues

Two new arenas are opening their doors in Infinite Disco: The Nightshade club/botanical gardens and the molten Obsidian Overture.

Not only that, but Arena Select got a glow-up! You can now choose what arenas you feature in your Infinite Disco rotation. That’s right! You can finally leave Green Screen out! We’ve also added some new arena swap triggers for you to try out.

Once you’ve defeated Dahlia, you’ll see her and her minions added to the roster of enemies you can summon in Infinite Disco.

New Enemy: Flamecho

Dahlia isn’t alone. The Flamecho lights up the dance floor throughout La Pantera’s story level. This new enemy rains fire down on Charlie's head, but dodging them leaves behind embers that can be kicked by Charlie. Flamechoes close the distance with fast unblockable dashes, and flashback-foiling follow-ups. Read the feint to make it pay.

UI Update: Cleaner Reads in the Heat of Battle

  • Visual pass on the health bars and the targeting indicator to make the read of a fight clearer overall.
  • There is now a marker next to an enemy's health bar when Charlie has a Takedown token ready (togglable in the settings).
  • When an enemy initiates an unblockable attack (red UI indicators), the button prompt will be grayed out until closer to the perfect window. Intended to reduce the number of times this UI prompt advertises an “unsafe” dodge.
  • Music-synced counters are more consistent than before.

Settings, Reorganized

The Settings menu got a full visual revamp and a cleaner layout, and controller players can now remap their buttons directly under Controller, then Controller Mapping. Set it up so it feels right before you step on stage.

Leaderboard Reset

With a change of this size, the leaderboards have been reset. Congrats to the true champions of this past unofficial season. The race to the top of Dahlia's setlist is now open. Go claim it!

Thank You!

This finale to the Summer Flames Tour is the proudest we have ever been of a patch drop. Thank you for showing up all summer, for the combos, the clips, and the feedback that shaped every stop along the way. We read all of it, and this update is better for it.

The tour may be wrapping, but the show is far from over. The next Tour is coming, just in time for the Falliday Season. The next chapter of the Dead as Disco story is even bigger.

Your feedback and participation continues to make a huge impact on the game’s development. If you’re not following Dead as Disco here on Steam yet, hit follow so the next drop lands right in front of you. And if someone you know still hasn’t made it to the dancefloor, now is a great time to pull them in.

The stage is set. The lights are hot. Let's dance.
