Update Roadmap

Hello, players and friends

It's been a week since Golden Swirl launched.

Thank you for your support, for playing, and for every review you've taken the time to write.

The team has been following community discussions around the clock, and we know the game still has plenty of room for polish and improvement

To make every build as good as it can be, here is our update roadmap, shared with you in full.

Phase 1: Core Experience Hotfixes and Polish

Our absolute priority right now is making sure everyone has a smooth and genuinely fun baseline experience.

  • Overall balance and polish: We've heard how much you want a deeper gameplay experience and better replayability. The team is already working on the difficulty curve and pacing, so that different playstyles get clearer feedback as players get to grips with real-time action combined with cards.
  • Extreme challenge expansion: For hardcore players who have already mastered the core mechanics and want more, we're revisiting and fine-tuning the existing high-difficulty modes. We're also preparing a brand-new, more challenging difficulty tier, for the truly skilled to take on.
  • Performance and bug fixes: Genuine thanks to everyone who reported issues right away. We've put together a list of known issues and we're working flat out on hotfixes. You can expect patches to roll out frequently over the coming days, so we can fix these issues as efficiently as possible and give you the most stable environment to play in.

Phase 2: System and Content Expansion

Once the baseline experience is solid, we'll pour a large amount of new content into the game, expanding Golden Swirl's depth and variety further.

  • Dating system and multiple endings: The game will add a brand-new dating system (placeholder name). As your relationships with certain NPCs develop, you'll gradually unlock entirely different endings and content.
  • Combat archetype expansion: A new batch of equipment, cards, and relics. This will add more variety to deck-building.

Phase 3: Deeper Stages and Exploration Variables

Over the longer term, we'll focus on what matters most in a roguelite: randomness and the sense of the unknown.

  • Dungeon and event mechanic deepening: The dev team will deepen the game further, adding more varied and more impactful random events, plus Swirl Breaching variables, to push replayability even higher.

Thank you again to every player growing alongside us. The world of Golden Swirl will become more complete because of your feedback. Stay tuned for our next update announcements!
