The arena for the new season is now open, and the remaining cards for “Chuojiao” (Poking Foot) have officially arrived!
This update adds 4 Secret Manuals and 3 Signature Techniques, alongside balance adjustments for multiple schools and fixes for issues affecting quests, Career Mode, and card triggers.
The “Martial Arts Champion” event will officially begin on October 1. Which school will you stand behind? Fight for its honor and help it claim the title of Martial Arts Champion!
I. Completing the “Chuojiao” School
The remaining cards for “Chuojiao” (Poking Foot) have now been added:
- Secret Manuals:Three Hands, Seven Feet, Ground-Piercing Nail, Jade Ring Step, Mandarin Duck Spread Wings
- Signature Techniques:Nail Kick, Crouching Sneak Kick, Donkey Kick
With these additions, the Secret Manuals and Signature Techniques of Chuojiao are now complete.
You can now explore even more builds centered around Leg cards, the discard pile, and the reshuffle pile.
II. “Martial Arts Champion” Event Preview
The “Martial Arts Champion” event will begin on October 1, 2026, and run until the end of the current season on October 31.
During the event, players who reach the Grandmaster tier or above can contribute points to their chosen school. At the end of the season, the school with the highest total score will be crowned the Martial Arts Champion.
A brand-new themed cosmetic set will be created for the winning school, including a character skin and card skins.
The character skin will later be given to all Kung Fu Card players for free.

III. Balance Adjustments
Baji
Eight Directions of Baji
- Before: Technique cards with a point value of ≤3 could trigger additional damage.
- After:Technique cards with a point value of ≤4 played by you deal additional damage once.
Liangyi Stance
- Before: Enter the other stance and draw two cards.
- After: Once per turn, when you play a Stance card, you may activate this effect to enter the other stance and draw one card.
Xing Qi
The trigger range has been expanded, and the effect has been changed to an optional trigger.
Effect: Once per turn, your next Punch or Elbow does not participate in the exchange. Its damage is increased by half the damage of the Signature Technique cards currently on the field.
Hung Gar
Hung Family Iron Thread Fist
- Before: Your Punches deal +2 damage.
- After: Your Punches deal +1 damage. At the end of the turn, this effect doubles. The effect resets when you stop attacking or when your attack is countered.
Layman
Compassion of the Bodhisattva
The “Draw 1 card” effect has been removed.
After: Once per turn, when you play a Defense card, your opponent's hand is revealed until the start of your next turn.
Chuojiao
Double Crossing of Wen and Wu
The effect has been changed to:
Once per turn, reveal the top four cards of the deck. Take one Leg card and discard the rest. Your next Exchange deals +2 damage.
Eight Roots, Nine Branches
The maximum point value of a Technique card that can be stacked has been reduced from ≤5 to ≤4.
After: Your 8s and 9s are treated as Legs. When you play a Leg, you may stack a Technique card with a point value of ≤4 onto it, increasing its damage by that card's point value.
Hook and Chain Kicks
The doubling effect now begins with the second Leg played each turn.
After: Your Legs deal +1 damage. Starting from the second Leg played each turn, each additional Leg you play doubles this effect for the current turn.
Mandarin Duck Legs
Damage is now 8.
Effect: When played, your next Technique this turn does not participate in the exchange.
Intercepting Leg
Damage is now 7.
Effect: For every 5 damage you deal this turn, your opponent's damage is reduced by 1 next turn.
Ding Leg
The card-draw condition has been changed from “when you play a Leg” to “when you play a Leg during an exchange.”
After: Until the end of your next turn, draw one card whenever you play a Leg during an exchange.
Wing Chun
Bong Sau
The bonus to next-turn card draw has been reduced from +2 to +1.
After: During resolution, if you have taken no damage in at least two exchanges, draw +1 card next turn. If you have taken damage in at least two exchanges, deal +3 damage next turn.
Sticky Hands
The damage bonus has been reduced from +3 to +2, while retaining the “does not participate in the exchange” effect.
After: Once per turn, when you play a Technique card matching the suit of your current stance, it gains +2 damage and does not participate in the exchange.
Bridge Entry: Three Gates
A maximum has been added to the number of additional damage instances.
After: When played, this card deals additional damage once for each different suit among the Technique cards on the field, up to a maximum of three additional instances.
IV. Fixes & Improvements
- The names of Secret Manuals in the Daily Quest list now include their associated school, making quest requirements easier to identify.
- Improved the display of stacked cards under “Small Thought.” When you right-click to enlarge “Small Thought,” the cards stacked beneath it will now be displayed on the right.
- Fixed an issue that caused abnormal refreshing after obtaining a chest in Career Mode.
- Daily Quest rewards must now be claimed manually, reducing confusion between quest completion and reward collection status.
- Fixed incorrect trigger behavior for certain card effects.
