Planned Updates & Answering FAQs!
Summary
Hello! In this post, I'd like to talk about some new updates that are in the works and respond to some frequently asked questions.

Additional planned updates
Below are all the extra features and major changes currently being worked on that will be released over the next few updates...
Soundtest composer comments feature

Princess Sylvysprit has taken the time to write some commentary for all of her composition choices for each song in NNFF, and I'm currently working on adding them into the soundtest menu as a fun bonus! It's mostly done, but I've been kind of struggling to figure out the formatting and how it should look in the menu. It will likely be added in the next few weeks.
Full boss practice

Practice Mode is going to be expanded to let you practice entire boss fights in addition to single attacks! Speaking of Practice Mode, it is possibly going to receive a slight name change in the next major update. Over the course of development, the name has been changed back and forth between "Mirage Mode" and "Practice Mode" many times. "Practice Mode" describes specifically what the mode is to the player, and "Mirage Mode" more accurately describes what it is in-universe, and I am starting to lean further into the latter...
Fixing All Replay Desyncs
A major known issue that needs fixing is the replay desyncs, both score and gameplay. So far, there's only one known gameplay desync, and it occurs randomly in the very final attack of the game. As for score desyncs, there are quite a few that need fixing. Replays are incredibly difficult and time consuming to debug, so I don't plan to dedicate much time to it until after the other major features are added / started. It is definitely on my to do list, though.

One final secret is being developed...
There have been quite a lot of people requesting an extra stage. It's perhaps THE MOST requested feature by far, actually. Let's just say I have a very particular idea in mind for one...

No promises for WHEN specifically, but what I CAN promise is that it will be free!.. ("free" as in, like, "will cost $0"). You might not hear anything else about this until it is finished. Development may also overlap with another project I will be working on, which may make it take a while.
Any other content planned?
After the extra stage is implemented, no new content is planned to be added to this game. There will more than likely just be more language support.
I plan to make more games in the future, and my focus will be heavily on that soon. Don't want to give very many details about the next game so early, but what I can say is that it's going to also be an arcade-style bullet hell with a focus on story and characters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Now that we've gone over all the most interesting stuff, I'd like to answer a few general questions that get asked a lot:
Will the OST be released on Steam?
It will not be sold through Steam, so the best way to get the OST is through Bandcamp!
Here's the link if you're interested!! ➤➤ NNFF Full OST Bandcamp Album
Will be supported?
There's been a few requests for various different languages to be supported. Every one that gets suggested is added to a secret list, and I plan to go down that list and add them after the initial planned languages are implemented and a cleaner workflow is developed.
How to give suggestions, feedback, or report bugs?
Have anything you'd like to see added or changed? Encountered a bug?.. Here are all the ways you can reach out!

Current localization progress

Alongside work on the aforementioned updates, I will also be spending a lot of time finishing up moving all the game text so that localization can start properly. So far, around 70% of the game text has been moved to an external spreadsheet, and around 30% of that text is notated. Additionally, I still need to make a system that allows for the swapping of text on the dialogue system (the dialogue text works entirely different from the rest of the game's text). The translations will likely start coming out later next year, more than likely after the extra stage, but will share if this changes.
Also Simplified Chinese is now one of the main languages that will be supported. At this point in time, there are the languages that are in / will be in active development:
-Japanese
-Spanish
-Russian
-Simplified Chinese

Closing thoughts
I know I keep repeating it, but thank you again for all the positive feedback over the past few weeks! (And thank you for the critical feedback too! It's what helps me improve!!) Seeing how excited people are about this project and future ones makes me excited...
Thank you for playing, ~Mongo
