Post Launch Thoughts & Not-So-Distant Future Plans

THANK YOU!!

I'd like to thank everyone again for all the support over this weekend! So far, the launch has been a big success, and I really appreciate all the incredibly nice feedback and positive reviews the game has received on Steam and outside of Steam as well.

(Also, thank you to the supporters on itch too (I see you!!))

We've come a long way...

It means a lot that so many people are enjoying NNFF. This is the first game I've ever made or published, so I honestly didn't expect it to do very well.

When I started NNFF, I had no programming knowledge, poor writing skills, and, admittedly, very subpar art ability, so it was a huge struggle to get everything to the point it is at now. But seeing how much the game clicks with people and how much you are enjoying your experience makes all that work feel worth it.

The game wouldn't be what it is without the music!

I'd also like to thank Princess Sylvysprit for providing this game with one of the best OSTs ever heard in a danmaku-style shmup. Every track is dripping with personality and sets the mood of the gameplay and story perfectly. A lot of the bosses and stages were actually even altered after receiving the music to guarantee that everything hit as hard as possible. Their music is a very large part of what makes the game feel so special, and it was an honor to work with them!

(you should support them on Bandcamp!!) <--!!!

... What's next?

Over the next few weeks, the game will be updated with more QoL features & settings, additions and changes based on suggestions & critical feedback, bug fixing & optimization, and potentially more secrets... Periodic updates will be posted on Steam, itch.io, and the official social medias with any changes, plans, and updates!

Have anything you'd like to see added or changed? Encountered a bug?.. Here are all the ways you can reach out!

(btw there's a cool non-game NNFF extra thing I've been slowly chipping away at... (hint: it involves concept art)) (don't expect much info about this for a while, though)

Localization plans

Additionally, I am currently working on finishing setting up the game for localization! Accessibility is extremely important to me and also to the philosophy of NNFF's design, and multi-language support is part of that.

The process has not been fully started, so I cannot go into much detail about when to expect that to release (sorry). Although, these are the current languages intended to be supported first:

Japanese | Spanish | Russian

* Please note, the plans may change in the future

(Whenever everything is finalized, I'll let you know in more detail!)

Closing thoughts

Thank you to everyone who's supported & followed the development of NNFF! And if you're new / just heard about the game recently, thank you too!! The past 3 years have been very long and challenging, but seeing how much fun people are having, it was definitely worth the effort.

To see more development updates and announcements like this, make sure to wishlist & follow!
