Necromancer Rises
First of all, thank you so much for the incredible support since the release of Version 1.0!
Seeing so many new players jump into Ragnar, along with all the positive reviews, feedback, and suggestions, has meant a lot to us. We’ve been reading your feedback closely, and this update brings some of the biggest changes we’ve made to the game so far.
☠️ New Class: Necromancer
The Necromancer has arrived.
This completely new class brings a different approach to combat, built around death, dark magic, and raising fallen enemies.
The Necromancer can reanimate defeated monsters and make them fight alongside you, opening up an entirely new way to build your character and approach encounters.
And with the Necromancer comes a brand-new weapon type:
🪄 Staff Weapons
Staffs are now available throughout the game.
They introduce new build possibilities and give spell-focused characters another weapon path to experiment with. New Staffs, abilities, and combinations have been added across progression.
⚔️ Ascendancy Reworked
We’ve significantly reworked the Ascendancy system.
Ascendancy choices are now much more meaningful, and every class now has its own unique Ascendancy skill.
Instead of simply being another layer of passive progression, Ascendancy should now have a much stronger impact on how your build actually plays.
🔥 Tier Progression Improvements
We’ve also made several changes to the Tier system to make progression feel smoother, more rewarding, and more enjoyable.
Expect adjustments across progression, balance, and rewards, alongside new skills and additional build options.
And More
This update also includes various balance adjustments, improvements, fixes, and smaller changes based on feedback from the community.
Version 1.0 was a huge milestone for us, but we’re far from finished.
Thank you again for playing Ragnar, sharing your feedback, and supporting the game.
See you in Valhalla.
