Your Questions Answered | VED Q&A #1
Heya everyone,
This is the dev team behind Ved: Recure. In the week since launch, we’ve received so much support and encouragement from players, and we’ve also been carefully reading your criticism and suggestions. Thank you for your patience. Your feedback is a huge help as we work to improve the game. Below, we’ll answer some of the questions and concerns we’ve seen most often recently.
Key Issues Since Launch
Q: Can you add a way to save mid-run? A full run takes too long.
A: The latest update adds a Save & Quit Feature. When returning to the Rooftop during a run, you can choose to save the run at the point where you last claimed a reward. If you’re moving between stages, please wait until the next stage has finished loading before saving. This progress will also be saved automatically if the game closes unexpectedly or you quit from within the game. The feature becomes available automatically once the Rooftop is unlocked.
Q: The game keeps crashing with memory leak issue.
A: Previous updates fixed issues that could cause memory leak and crashes when loading new map areas or playing the story cutscenes in Chapter 4. If this still happens frequently in the current version, please DM an admin in our Discord with your PC specs, and share your save and log files if needed. We’ll help look into it and offer advice.
Q: Will you add multiplayer coop?
A: Unfortunately, the game’s current design and the size of our team mean we may not be able to take on multiplayer development at the moment. We’re sorry, and we appreciate your understanding.
Major Updates This Week
Q: There aren’t enough opportunities to heal.
A: Regular health packs obtained from shops and rewards now restore 25% HP, up from 15%. Large health packs now restore 50% HP, up from 30%.
Q: Shops and stage rewards don’t give enough Future Tickets.
A: The number of Future Tickets obtained from shops and rewards has been adjusted by difficulty: 30 on Easy, 60 on Normal, 100 on Hard, and 200 on Extreme.
Q: Can we skip passive Buffs? Some random picks ruin my build.
A: You can now skip the single random Buff offered in shops, as well as Buff Conversion selections, and receive Apoc Coins instead.
Plans for Future Updates
Q: What are your main plans for future updates?
A: Our immediate focus is on fixing bugs and improving the overall experience in the base game. Future DLC will include new character skins and new playable characters. We also expect to work on a console port, so stay tuned!
Q: Can you add a story replay option? I accidentally skipped a scene.
A: We’re working on it and will add it in a future update.
Q: I can’t see my HP when choosing Boss clear rewards, so it’s hard to decide between a Buff and healing.
A: We’re working on an HP display for this screen and will add it in a future update.
Q: Will you keep adding new Buffs?
A: Yes! We still want to fill out the Buff selection for some attributes, and we may also create new designs based on your feedback.
Q: Pisces Curse keeps affecting my character even after the enemy has been defeated and disappeared.
A: We’re sorry about that. We’re currently working on a fix.
Q: Can you add an opacity setting for Buff effects?
A: The settings currently only let you adjust the size of Buff effects. We know that when lots of Buffs trigger in succession late in a run, the effects can make it difficult to see enemy movements. We’ll add an opacity setting in a future update.
Finally, thank you again for supporting us. As creators, getting to connect with players through a game we’ve made is a deeply moving experience, and we truly value that opportunity. We’re sincerely sorry for the issues you’ve encountered while playing. Many parts of the game should have received more thorough testing and polish before release. We’re committed to continuing to actively gather your feedback, and we hope you’ll look forward to the updates ahead!
