Play solo or with friends

Take on the Deadzone solo or squad up with friends in co-op. Fight your way through waves of hostile machines, build your loadout, and see how far your squad can make it.

The server browser and drop-in co-op will also be available. This makes it easier to find a squad or jump into a run already in progress.

The demo is planned to launch on October 8 at 17:00 UTC for PC, PS5, and Xbox.

What platforms is the demo available on? The demo will be available on Steam, PS5, and Xbox. We plan to offer cross-play from the start. If we need to update a particular platform to address major bugs or other issues, cross-play may become temporarily unavailable while platform versions are out of sync.

When does the demo start? The demo is planned to launch at 17:00 UTC on Thursday, October 8.

Will my progression be carried over from the demo to the full game? No, progression will not carry over. This helps for testing and if we need to make system adjustments.

What's the difference between the demo and playtest? The demo will be a bit more polished than the playtest in terms of balance, bugs, progression, etc. In terms of content, it will feel quite similar.

Can I play with friends during the demo? Yes, co-op will be available on PC, Xbox, and PS5 for the demo, with squads of up to 3 players. The server browser will also be available, and we're continuing to test out drop-in co-op.

How can I play the demo? The demo is free and available to anyone who'd like to play! Simply click the 'Play Deadzone Rogue 2 Demo' button on the Steam page once the demo is live.

Will the demo be updated or not? We don't expect to update the demo for the time being.

Is streaming or recording allowed? Yes, go for it!

Will Planty be in the demo? Planty will be present and is continuing to grow :)
